the speakers are great I can hear them no problem going 80 down the highway
Easy installation
great sound for the value. can hear clearly at highway speeds.
Installation was straightforward with minimal instructions, took me about 2 hours. The hardest part was deciding where to place the speakers and wires. I found a helpful tip to clamp the speakers to the engine guard instead of the handlebars, which I prefer. Remember to buy extra zip ties as only 5 are included. Take your time planning the wiring placement for a clean look.
I bought this brand for the second time. I had previously tried their two-speaker setup, hoping for more power, but it didn't quite meet my expectations. The speakers sound good and are better than many others, but not overly powerful. The integrated amplifier is a cool feature, and when mounted on my Boulevard M50 (without fairing), they are audible up to around 100 km.
The installation process was straightforward, and I didn't need to consult the manual. It took me about 4 hours, including bike tear-down and managing numerous wires. I replaced my old 2-speaker system with this one and had to deal with a lot of cables, leading to a messy setup that I plan to tidy up later. Finding a suitable placement for the switches was a bit difficult. After installation and testing, I found the sound quality satisfactory, but I'm unsure if the 4-speaker system is significantly louder than the previous 2-speaker setup.
I purchased these to add bluetooth music to a Sportster Trike I was building. My main issue was with the attachment mountings, which required a third hand for installation on any bar. The other two were mounted through drilled holes on a motorcycle tour pack. It would be helpful if the plugs were easier to unpin.
The speakers seem larger than expected, providing sound for the ride. Clamps are difficult to work with as described, and the rubber inserts should come in more sizes. While not the most attractive, they offer loud volume with lacking bass. The wiring is conveniently placed with plenty of excess wire. I look forward to testing them on my first ride and seeing how they perform.
In town, the speakers on my custom chopper had decent sound and volume, but on the highway, they were barely audible due to my short-shot pipes on a 123 ci motor. The speakers use hollow bolts and tend to snap off after a few rides, a common issue with Boss Audio. I've gone through 3 sets of speakers in just a year.
Disappointed with this 4-speaker system; it feels more like a 2-speaker setup. The brackets are of poor quality. I purchased it to replace a cheaper system that had a blown speaker, but the cheaper system was louder and sounded better. It's not worth the money, consider spending a bit more for better quality and satisfaction.
