easy to install and works great. sound is loud and clear
These speakers are a great value. I replaced a 20-year-old pair in my boat with them, and they fit well. The sound quality is good, and they work fine at a decent volume. The only issue was that the mounting screws were in a different location than my old speakers.
The product was well-packaged and arrived quickly. I had to adjust the fit to match my old speakers, but I'm satisfied with the sound quality for outdoor use. The price offers a good range of frequencies. I suggest checking your space dimensions before buying.
The speakers sound great and look good. They were delivered quickly, and I'm so happy that I bought more for my boat. However, I noticed the screws started to rust in my cockpit. I wish they were stainless steel for marine use. I replaced them with stainless steel screws easily. Overall, buy them but consider changing the screws for outdoor use.
I purchased these speakers for my 1997 Sea Ray. I had to make some adjustments to fit them, but they sound great. They provide good bass and are loud. I give them 5 stars for their excellent sound quality. They exceeded my expectations and are much better than the original Sea Worthy speakers. They do distort when I turn up the volume, but that's because I'm using the stock head unit without an amp. These speakers need to be enclosed, like most speakers. While they may not be the most attractive, their sound quality is impressive.
In my setup, I used a 26 quart Coleman cooler and paired it with a 4 channel marine Pyle amplifier. The sound is loud with good bass, matching well with my chosen amp. Cutting and mounting without a template was a bit challenging, but manageable. The speakers feel solid and the finish quality is impressive.
In my experience, Boss marine speakers have been reliable and offer good sound quality for their price. I first purchased a pair because they were affordable and marine-rated. The speakers lasted a long time and performed well on my pontoon boat. I recently bought a second pair because I was satisfied with the durability and sound quality of the first pair.
Nice speakers for the price, but I wish they had more watts. They are completely plastic and one piece, with a front grill that doesn't come off and non-magnetic screws. No electrical connectors are included, so make sure to have standard female spade terminals on hand. I installed four speakers in my 1990 Wellcraft boat and can hear the music over the engine. Happy boating.
I have bought two sets of these speakers - one in 2013 and another in 2020. Both sets rusted at the magnet and had corrosion on the electronic components. The sound quality is average but starts clipping at higher volumes. The blade connector on the 2020 model had different sizes, which was disappointing. Overall, the speakers show poor Chinese quality control due to rust and connector issues.
The speakers look as expected and are made of thick plastic. They work well for my needs, but require high wattage for optimal sound. The treble is lacking, but the bass response is good when driven hard. Consider a higher-end brand if budget allows.
