I bought these speakers hoping they were as good as advertized. They are better!! I made my own speaker boxes, which they tell you what size you need. I couldn't make them as big as they directed, so I put some poly-fil in the boxes and they sound great! I will have no problem hearing my music over my boat motor now. High end speakers at a low end price!! They are very loud and have great bass. I am a happy boater!!!!
I purchased these speakers for my boat and placed them under the rear seat support boxes. They are well-made with a nice grill design that complements any boat interior. The component set offers versatile crossover options. I connected the tweeters directly to my head unit using the high-pass crossover and the sub to a 200-watt amplifier, resulting in clear sound with good bass handling. These speakers are a great option for those looking for small speakers that excel in bass performance compared to standard 6.5" speakers.
The packaging was excellent and the merchandise was impeccable.
The sound quality is good for the price, but I had to enlarge my existing speaker cutouts slightly to fit them due to the speakers being wider than most 7.5" speakers.
I mounted these in my sailboat cockpit and thoroughly regret doing so. They sound horribly tinny and I will return them ASAP. It will be hard to find another pair to fit in the larger (6.25") hole I had to cut... big mistake!
The sound didn't appeal to me from the start. After 4-5 years, they cracked and now sound terrible.
