Solid materials. Metric tools would be very helpful when putting this together. Only suggestion would be a protective piece at the very bottom so you can set the seeder down upright.

Nice unit with exception that feeder was tack welded and needs seam to be fully welded. One tack weld was broke and had to re- weld. Obviously matching paint is a no go. I see more tack welds breaking with time and use. May seam weld after fall planting.

Works great but the gate adjustment is not the best design. As soon as you get it set to throw the appropriate amount of seed it will spill out the bottom with every bump leaving a trail of seed when the motor is off.

Well made structurally but motor and spinner is light duty. I tried to use for pulverized lime fertilizer and it was a no go. Would not flow through hopper and eventually the motor quit. It may work well for light seed, I did not try. Loaded up it was heavy and hung at an angle off my hitch. I put 40 lbs in it.

I purchased this Boss Buck spreader July 26, 2025 and the wireless control unit was damaged. I contacted GSW Outdoors the manufacturer/distributor on July 28, 2025 and send them proof of purchase and pictures of the damaged item. They said the item was backordered and to contact them in August. I contacted them twice in August and again had to send proof of purchase and damaged item pictures each time. Both times they said they would contact me the next day and as of September 10, 2025 they have not contacted me. I give up, it's not worth the aggravation. Good luck if you buy this spreader and have problems dealing with GSW Outdoors.

I have tried to run salt through it and it wouldn't push through. I then tried to run 12-12-12 fertilizer through and it wouldn't go through either

Spreader works good. Had to purchase additional hitch riser so it sat up higher. Spreads 30+ feed on each side. Does have a tendency to clog up in drain some.
