This office chair was fairly easy to assemble, being that the screws for the base and pneumatic lifter control are already screwed into the chair seat. Right away, you can observe a higher level of quality over those $60 chairs, with the metal reinforced sleeves that the machine screws drive into (under the seat). Additional features include a mesh tension control that is easy to adjust in the back of the seat. This makes sitting back onto the chair more comfortable and softer for different tastes. Another feature, is the recliner 'stop' lever control. There is also a button on each arm rest that allows the user to choose their preferred height. The only features missing from this chair is that the seatback is stationary and does not adjust forward, and the arms must be permanently screwed in to the width desired, and are not moveable for different seat users. The seat cushion is FAR SUPERIOR over many other office chairs that I have owned and tested out in this price range. The seat cushion feels very durable, dense and extra firm, yet extra thick (padding almost 6 inches deep). This feature is very crucial for me, as I have quickly thrown away $100 chairs in the past because the cushion broke down within 3 months. I've had it for a month, and no sign of any 'break in'. The quality of the covering is also superior and has a very expensive feel. The mesh has been smartly sewn in with a double stitch, and has a nice appearance with the overall look. In summary, the chair is comparable to other similar chairs in a $300 price range. I would recommend it for a value seeker, not wanting to spend a lot, yet is seeking a long lasting chair. It has great basic features, coupled with a long lasting build, without breaking the bank. I am looking forward to replacing all of the current chairs in my office with more of this one!
I saw a high end black metal mesh chair at about 5 times the cost of this one. This one makes the same decorative statement and I love the mesh back (cloth instead of metal). It's a comfortable fully adjustable chair. I could not determine from the illustration on site whether the chair had a chrome pedestal base or a black one. Turned out to be black and I would have preferred the chrome, but that is minor. It's a good buy for the money.
Bought a chair just like this for my work from another company - this chair is a good $40 cheaper, and JUST as fine! I have a really bad back, and do alot of computer work, and this chair has made sitting for periods of time at the computer a pain free experience. VERY cool looking, too, and super easy to put together! Two thumbs up!
It's a decent chair. Good for hours of video game playing and you can't ask for much more than that, right? Seriously though, great value for a good chair. The last chair I had made my back hurt after sitting in it for hours. Not the case with this one. Good support, good padding, adjustable arms. It doesn't really lean back though, which is it's only downside in my mind.
This chair meets our expectations with regard to comfort and design. The price was ok for this class of chairs, and overall I think it was a good buy. The thing that bothered me a bit was the state of the box that arrived at the Walmart store I chose as delivery point. I mentioned in the order that this is a gift, but the box came so broken up that it was impossible to present the item in the original box. Anyway, overall the chair was assembled [despite the broken box no screws were missing] and proves to be a comfortable, easy adjustable chair.
This chair is surprisingly easy to assemble. Although the parts come in a very unstable cardboard box they arrived intact and only slightly bounced around. It took me about 20 mins to put it together with one tool a screwdriver, that wasn't included. The arms are adjustable in height and width on the seat, which is great for 'big' people that are looking for a wide seat. It's comfortable and pretty stylish. I was very pleasantly surprised at how cheap it is but sturdy, attractive and easy to sit in. I use it as a computer chair and don't know how I got along without it.
Although I selected standard delivery, the chair arrived within 2 days. It was easy to assemble, is sturdy, appears to use quality materials, is very adjustable and is quite comfortable. My only complaint is that it is quite squeaky when tilting. Overall it's a good value.
I like a big wide chair with armrest that are adjustable. This chair covers those two perfectly. If sitting for a long time, I feel it needs more padding, my bottom really starts to ache. BUT I must say I am on the phones and cannot get up for 4 hrs at a time. It squeeks a bit and seems to be to lean a little forward in the seat. But, as I said for the price, look and size I would buy again.
Let's start with packaging- I opened the box and the parts appeared to have been thrown in and paper stuffed inadvertently here and there. The arms and chair frame material had large marks and scuffs, perhaps from the poor quality of packaging. The chair and seat were of cheap material and looked nothing like the nice product online photos. Product material was of such cheap quality that I put everything back in the box, returned it to Walmart within 2 hours of pick.
While this is well constructed, I found the seat bottom to be very firm and uncomfortable. Worse the seat back is uncomfortable. The lumbar support is just a 2.5 inch band across the lower part of the seat back that can't be adjusted. It is too low for me (6'2") and while the rest of the seat back give, the band digs in to my lower back. A wider ban that can be adjusted would work better for me. Tried to get used to it for 3 days but went back to my old wobbly chair for now. It is being returned. I was really looking forward to getting the chair. :-(
