I was pleasantly surprised. this dog lead is very heavy duty. I would recommend to anyone. I will definitely repurchase for my other dogs.
Last tie out I bought for my dog busted within 2 weeks. This brand held strong! My boy is a mastiff and needs a very strong tie out .
People need to realize when this heavy duty chain says 250 lbs. it doesnt mean a 250 lb dog. it means 250lbs of pressure. When a strong muscled dog lunges, it can asserts a lot more pressure than its body weight. This is an excellent chain but lets be reasonable with the expectations.
I've had it for 5 months, and it's holding up for my Mastiff.
This one has worked the longest on my 85 lb mutt. When it finally broke it looks like the chain just came out of the clamp at the neck
Love that it's strong. Clamp that holds the leash loop together could be a bit better designed
Came about 1 week late and one of the clips on the end (connection clip) is somewhat misaligned and has a big gap so the dogs collar would definitely slip of of. So I used the other end as the clip for dog and attached the lose end to the actual chain that hold the lead itself along with like 8 extra strength zip ties.
Last a few months at most. This is my 3rd cable. All 3 snap at the base end where the cable is crimped. I even had a stainless steel ring so it couldn't get bound up. Boxer/Rot mix but more of a boxer build. Thankfully I don't have aggressive dogs and most the time they don't fight to get off the cable.
my blue heeler broke the connector in one week!
My niece's 50# dog snapped the clasps on two of these tie outs in a month.
