The Espresso Dark Roast beans were so fresh and smelled amazing when I opened the bag! The beans are very dark and oily and make a dark, strong, delicious cup of coffee. I like that Boulder is fair trade organic and roasts the beans at time of order so you know you are getting the freshest beans possible. The flavor is dark and sweet with cocoa undertones. I thoroughly enjoyed these beans! They tasted like quality, familiar of a local roast that I could safely order during this time of quarantine. I actually tried these two ways - in my espresso machine and grinder then brewed in my standard coffee maker. Both were great! These had a bold rich taste which I LOVE! My husband thoroughly enjoyed too to help keep him going during this period of working from home. I highly recommend these beans, and I absolutely will be repurchasing. First off, this coffee smells amazing! I really love that its not only organic, but its fair trade. Its got a rich smoky flavor and tastes absolutely delicious! The expresso beans has a strong, classic espresso bean aroma. We grounded our beans with our own grinder and made the espresso right away. This espresso was too weak for me. Very smooth but not strong enough.
