[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I clean houses for a living. I've tried every paper towel available. Bounty is by far the best. It's super strong, super absorbent and you don't have to use a ton of it to get the job done. Excellent product
I didn't like smaller so-called "select-a-size" perforations, but now they've shrunk again by over an inch! There's just no excuse for attempting to fool the public, either by claiming more towels in the same diameter roll by perforation (which make one have to use more length anyway to accomplish the same task) or by producing inferior product (thinner, stiffer, less absorbent, not as strong) under the old name. Consumers aren't fooled. We know what P
Proctor and Gamble are pulling a fast one on consumers. They've changed the durability and thickness of the paper towels yet charging more for their products. I'm a huge buyer of these brands and I'm done! Viva here I come!
They NEVER tear along the perforations. I always end up with shreds of paper towel. It is one of the few requirements of a paper towel and it fails. However, this would be a great gag gift for a white elephant gift exchange. I would also recommend buying it for people that you do not like (ex-spouse, ex-significant other, etc.). It is impossible for anyone to experience joy and happiness concurrent with the use of this product. You can sit back and relax with the thought that the only thing these paper towels are absorbing is the happiness of the user.
I have always told whomever is going to the store, "Make sure it is Bounty, It doesn't pay to buy the lesser expensive paper towel". With 3 aging dogs, we go through a lot. The last 2 packs of Bounty that we purchased were not the same high quality, high absorbency product that we have become accustomed to. Something has changed and not for the better.
I recently bought Bounty select-a-size paper towels. I use them because they are so absorbent and hold together so well. I was surprised to find the paper towels now feel like cheap ones that fall apart and no longer are as absorbent. Why would the company that produces them do that? Why would I spend the extra money for paper towels that are no better than the cheap ones. This is an example of one more company trying to take advantage of the public. I would give it one thumb down except it deserves a middle finger instead.
I have always used Bounty select-a-size paper towels because they are thick and absorb liquids well and I usually only need one paper towel for cleaning up. Your new paper towels are so thin, that it takes me 3 to do the job it took 1 of the old ones to do. After decades of use, I am seriously considering going with another brand because these are actually thinner than our toilet paper. Really?????
I see no use for Select.a..Size paper towels at all, but Now you've gone and changed the full size sheets. What happened? I'm sure these new ones must be a lot cheaper to make.. They are so Thin and Scratchy now. You've removed the Bounty name imprint off of them, almost like you're embarrased to claim them as your product or are really afraid consumers will be able to identify them as Bounty ~ The Quicker Picker Upper! You made the best paper towel in the past! I've have purchased Bounty full sized paper towels for years....PLEASE bring the BEST full sheet Paper Towel back....PLEASE!!!!! Thank you for listening to my concerns
Obviously, there is little use for Select-a-Size. I wish P&C would stop ruining the regular size by making sheets that don't tear on the perforations leaving you with a handful of shreds. Select-a-size are widely available, because no one wants them, but I rarely see the good ones. I'm going to go green and get bar towels - I'm tired of being unhappy over a paper towel.
I have been using Bounty paper towels for over perhaps 40 years and never had a problem. Well.... I always buy the large pak of 12 is 24. Well this pak was defected. So I called Bounty 800 number and all they said was if you don't have a receipt there's nothing they can do!!!! WHAT???? I will no longer be purchasing Bounty as much as I like them. But their customer service and guarantee sucks. So now I'm stuck with defected paper towels that WILL NOT be replaced because I don't have my receipt. Money back guarantee my butt
