Boursin® Garlic & Fine Herbs Spreadable Gourmet Cheese, 5.3 oz

Quite good. Would purchase again. The cheese itself delivers: creamy, garlicky, herby in all the right ways. Spread it on a cracker and suddenly you are a person who has their life together. Spread it on a bagel and suddenly you are a person who has their life together AND woke up early enough to go somewhere that sells bagels. The ceiling on this cheese is high. It also works on chips, which I did not expect to be a revelation but was. Something about the crunch-to-cream ratio activates a part of the brain that simply wants more. Science has probably studied this. I have not read the studies. I do not need to. I have the chips. Normally, I thought it was for bagels. Now, the packaging. "Puck." Bold choice. Evocative. One imagines Wayne Gretzky gliding across a rink, but instead of a hockey puck, it is cheese. This is fine. This is good, even. My one lingering question, which I have been unable to resolve through either the ingredient list or extended meditation: what makes an herb "fine"? Is there a coarser, rougher herb out there living on the wrong side of the tracks? Are the fine herbs attending galas while the uncouth herbs eat dinner standing over the sink? I need to know the social hierarchy. Boursin has not responded to my concerns. One small note: this is not parmesan. It does not taste like parmesan. It does not aspire to be parmesan. This is a completely separate cheese doing completely separate things, and I respect that confidence. Not everything needs to be parmesan. Boursin knows this. Boursin is at peace. Five stars. The cheese does not owe me an explanation.

l liked it to make a chicken dish using this. I saute 4 breasts that have been tenderized by pounding. Take them out of the pan and add this cheese with some butter and maybe a little bit of milk. Then I put the chicken back in it sometimes with mushrooms. But it's delicious - absolutely delicious.

This cheese is an absolute staple for entertaining! It’s incredibly creamy with the perfect punch of garlic and herbs, it’s slightly crumbly but still spreads like a dream on crackers or a fresh baguette. However, it’s not just for charcuterie boards! I’ve started melting it into my mashed potatoes and using it as a base for creamy pasta sauces. It adds so much gourmet flavor instantly. While it’s a bit more of a treat than basic cream cheese, the quality and versatility make it well worth the price. I always keep a box in the fridge now.

This garlic and herb Boursin is my absolute favorite treat, even more than cream cheese on all the same dishes that call for garlic and herb cream cheese!! Its so creamy and the garlic and herb flavors really come through perfectly. We use this with roasted tomatoes, parm and EV olive oil for the best pasta topping. This time i bought it specifically to be the perfect topping on cheeseburgers, instead of mayo. I can't recommend this delicate creamy cheesy treat enough. I'm also wanting to try it on the inside of a grilled cheese sandwiches added to the sliced cheese? YUM 😋

I use this to melt in the oven with various vegetables like tomatoes or roasted red peppers, etc. This cheese gets perfectly rich and adds a wonderful flavor. I put it on spaghetti squash or other types of pasta. It tastes similar to the creaminess/texture of Alfredo without all the fat and cream.

I recently discovered a recipe that adds this to Bear Creek Cheddar Potato soup mix. It is a game changer! Most delicious potato soup I’ve ever had. Add in whatever fixings or toppings you want. You won’t regret adding this flavor enhancer to potato soup.

I used this to make a quick pasta dish by melting this cheese with butter and some milk in a sauce pan, then added it to cooked pasta. Was absolutely delicious! I used to make my own cheese sauce with regular cream cheese and added my own seasoning but this cheese makes it so much easier and you don't have to add anything else for seasoning. I knocked one star because I heard it is cheaper at another store; however, I do a lot of my shopping at Walmart so I will probably continue to buy it here despite the higher cost.

This is a staple in my home, especially when making any type of white pasta sauce. This cheese is packed full of flavor so much flavor. I can immediately tell the difference. In fact my entire family can tell the difference when I use it versus when I don't, it's unexplainable the garlic the herb is just very well seasoned. I highly recommend to add a special level of amazingness to any dish where cheese is called for.

Boursin is a delicious and versatile cheese! I crumble it over baby arugula with a drizzle of xvoo instead of a dressing. It's also a flavorful, creamy addition to mashed cauliflower or Bolognese sauce. It comes in 2 flavor varieties, which are both wonderful. I just wish it had a lower price so I could buy it more often!

This is crumbly when I first started to use it. I ended up letting it soften in room temperature for about an hour. It spread good then. I like the flavor. I just wish it was stronger. I'd buy it again. Just not very often unless I found a coupon for it.
