So I've have had the 2080 for about two weeks now. I only have one con so far and that is storage. The barbells are long and take up a good amount of space. Positive's these are really well made and you can feel the quality as soon as you pick them up. The select rotary knobs are very easy to turn and don't stick at all. I love all the combinations of work outs you can with with the straight and curl bar. Bowflex hit it out of the park on this one!
As religious gym goers pre-pandemic, my wife and I turned to creating a home gym over the past few months. This adjustable barbell & EZ bar set was an amazing addition to our setup, and has dramatically changed our workouts for the better! It took a bit of patience and several tries to get the weights to sit just right in the base during setup but it works beautifully once that's worked out. We use both bars for all kinds of upper and lower body exercises, and love the flexibility it has added to our home workouts. #sweepstakes
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I workout every day. It fit perfect in my room. Doesn't require a lot of space The set up was a little hard. Recommend that you read directions thoroughly and reread them lol. Might take a few times to set up before getting right when comes to the base end shrouds
Bowflex hit the nail in the coffin again with this one. Super effective. Easy transition. Quick weight changes. Fast when changing bars. You won't be disappointed when you get this one. Quick workouts or long it doesn't matter you'll get your moneys worth from this product and best of all you'll see the results.
Over the last 30 years I have been very active in the Gym. 5 days a week automatic. Unfortunately now a days the gym is packed with youngsters. Because of this I've set up shop in my garage. After reviewing every product from every company I decided to go with BOWFLEX. Specially the SelectTech Dumbbells and SelectTech Curl bars. Best decision ever. I love them. They are well made and get the job done. Recommend
This is a great adjustable barbell, but the way the weights fit together could be improved upon. They don't always want to lock together correctly and I have to manually pry them apart and reconnect them. #sweepstakes
It was a little difficult to set up. Getting the weights exactly where they need to be to easily slide in and out is difficult. I've used it for two weeks and still have to put the bar down one side at a time to get the weights to click into place. No matter how many times i have adjusted it It is still an issue.
It was not the easiest thing to setup with the stand. I wish I had started with the stand manual... getting three different manuals was frustrating. If you are used to Olympic style weight these will take some time to get used to. Because of the shape and size some exercises feel awkward.
Extremely disappointed in the lack of quality with the 2080 barbell. Metal threaded sleeves completely pulled out of bar end during assembly using tool provided in box. I own SelectTech dumbells and kettlebells and it is not the same level of quality. Not sure how these 4 threaded sleeves that pulled out so easily could possibly support the weight with the upgradable weight to 120lbs. I will be returning the barbell, extra weight and stand.
I built the 2080 (with upgrade) myself. Everything looks beautiful but it won't operate correctly - it wont fit in the cradle (even though I have it on the correct, upgrade setting) and therefore it won't grab the weights properly. I reached out to Bowflex via the website and social media two weeks ago and no one has helped me to fix it.
