Bowflex Treadmill 22 is worth the investment!!!!!!

Darren September 17, 2025

I've been using the Bowflex Treadmill 22 for a while now, and it has exceeded my expectations in every way. The build quality is rock-solid, the running surface is wide and cushioned, and it feels extremely stable even at higher speeds. The incline and decline range makes workouts more challenging and versatile, almost like running outdoors.

An outstanding product. My son has special needs (Down Syndrome) and needed a treadmill to assist him in losing weight. My wife and I have also been using the treadmill and love it.

A 100% satisfied customer

Trewscorp June 24, 2025

I workout at least 4 x a week, I utilize many of the options from journey fitness for overall good health & fitness. To date I don't have any cons about my T22

So happy with this purchase

SunnyDays May 6, 2025

We are so happy with this treadmill. It was easy to set up and is so nice. I have a history of shin splints and the shock absorbing on this treadmill is amazing and doesn't cause my shin splints to flare up at all.

Best trendmill out there for me and the wife

Ray July 18, 2022

Loving the treadmil so far. Only had it a few weeks at this point. We previously had the old Peloton tread that got recalled and really missed having a solid treadmil after losing that. One of the big draws to Boxflex over the new Peloton or NordicTrack was the JRNY app...I personally think people should be able to use those screens for whatever they want and having netflix/hulu/prime/disney built in is great. It's still not as open as I'd like...would be good if we could install what we want (like youtube for example) but otherwise works great. Outside workouts are a little more limited then iFIT so I hope they grow that space and personal trainer videos are more limited then Peloton...but again I'm hoping that will grow over time. Controls are a little slow to respond, but once we got used to using the up/down for fine tuning and the numbers on the front for big jumps it got better. Tread itself feels really nice, very roomy. I'm 6"2 and 270lbs so I needed something pretty solid to support me. The T22 does that great.

An alternative to the Gym

Camdids May 24, 2021

I wanted a treadmill compatible with the gym that I stopped going to. This looked like the one. After a lot of work getting it into the house and assembling, we discovered the motor had shifted inside . It taps when starting but is quiet when running. The speed controls on the arm are slow to respond. I use all of the JRNY which is pretty good. Overall very satisfied so far

Enjoying it so far

BPD295 January 6, 2022

Overall I am enjoying the treadmill itself. I am less than thrilled with the JRNY membership and the class options that exist. I think the virtual assistant is a waste of time. It seems antiquated and it is not helpful. As a former Peloton Tread+ owner, I am also not a fan of the classes. On those devices, it was very easy to have a program and follow along with visual graphics to increase intensity and incline. This is not the case with the bowflex but I think it could be done with some simple software modifications. Lastly, the scenic options are nice but the quality of the video is not very good. Additionally, it would be nice if they could somehow be tied to the speed of the tread so that it was more realistic.

Good Treadmill but Lacking Features

Nick September 9, 2025

I use this treadmill nearly everyday. I got it to avoid the ones at the gym and also to have the freedom to exercise at home on my schedule. It took me about 2 hours to assembly on my own. I had to adjust the belt because it kept sliding to the right, but that was a simple fix. The JRNY app has no different "Explore the World" locations than my Bowflex VeloCore bike, but I can use the same subscription across multiple equipment. I wish there was more streaming app compatibility like HBO Max or Peacock, Paramount+ etc. You can only choose between Netflix, Hulu, Prime Video, and Disney+. Yeah I could set up a TV behind it, but for the price tag, I shouldn't have to. Also there is no NFC reader, so you can't pair your Apple watch, nor can you purchase a third party NFC reader and use the built in USB port. I should've waited a month and got the new treadmill models that include this as well as many more apps. I feel like a simple software update could improve app compatibility and allow for an NFC reader. Those are my biggest two issues. The fan doesn't blow much air, but that's not a big deal. The included heart rate monitor isn't big enough for my arm which is another reason I wish it could pair with my watch. Otherwise, the T22 treadmill is solid and great to use. I would recommend it if you can afford the high price tag, but there are better treadmills out there for less and have more features.

Buy this if you need more problems and less money

Happiest customer probably January 29, 2026

On my third workout in this machine, mid-workout it randomly went into full incline and would not come back down. None of the controls would work. Tech support was only good for a reply every other day, so of course this issue was dragged out well beyond the 30 day return policy. It took almost a month and two different technician visits to get that issue solved. They just fired the parts cannon at it and now I have a bunch of brand new spare parts laying around. Not even a month later, the belt started slipping (machine is still only 4 months old) and making a grinding/whining noise. That went away on its own until last week when the belt just stopped moving mid workout. Bowflex will not take the machine back despite my request WITHIN the first 30 days of ownership. I'll definitely never buy anything manufactured by Johnson Health again after this. Not just because of the quality, but mostly because of how all of this was handled.

Buyers Beware

Julie August 2, 2025

Wish I could review the product performance, but was sent a defective machine. Not able to work even 1 day. Cannot use without the massive android tablet. Jumped throught days of back and forth emails. Even calls with my internet provider to just prove it is bowflex that it was not my network. Have received the replacement part fast after completing all of the days and hours spent troubleshooting but still no technician "appointment". I have called multiple times in effects for any update or exculation path. Since I expected at least to have an appoint booked 3 days after the until was received. Still nothing but a ticket number and kind people feeling bad for my negative experience but still no actions to resolve. I have received better results from company's for $50 purchases and shame on bowflex for their lack of action still not fixed or trying to do something to satisfy the customer. At this point it is unacceptable to take a person's money for someone that cannot be used. Hope nobody has to experience this... you want a company that will step up and make things right when you receive a product that does not work as expected "out of the box". Unsure if I should be the technician's job at this point. Losing days on my health journey and money!
