Bowl Fresh Toilet Bowl Deodorizer Hanger, Pleasantly Scented

These things have been around forever. There's a reason for that. They keep your entire bathroom smelling fresh no matter how often it's used. They are so economical and I can't imagine why everyone doesn't use them. I keep one in my toilet bowl at all times and a spare in the bathroom pantry.

Great Bowl Deodorizer - Stays Put, Works Well I bought this Bowl Fresh deodorizer because I was tired of those little in-tank hangers that dissolve so quickly and leave blue streaks. I wanted something simpler and less messy to keep the bathroom smelling neutral between cleanings. This little puck is perfect for that. It was really easy to set up. You just peel off the adhesive strip on the back and stick it right under the rim of your toilet bowl, out of sight. That's a big plus—it doesn't float around or get in the way of cleaning. The pleasant scent is noticeable when you walk into the room, but it's not overpowering or like a chemical air freshener bomb went off. It just keeps things fresh. I do have one minor gripe. The strength of the scent does seem to fade a bit after a couple of weeks. It's still working and the bathroom smells fine, but that initial fresh burst isn't as strong. It's not a dealbreaker for me, just something to note.

There nothing that grosses me out more than a toilet bowl that has pink algae or black mold spots colonizing in it, not to mention poop particles stuck to the bowl after flushing. Minimal bowl cleaning weekly. A game changer. Let's face it NO ONE wants to do toilet duty but if you keep the gross down it is a quick swish of the brush with little to no yuck!

This reminds me strongly of those potent, industrial strength toilet sanitizers in gas station bathrooms. The toilet now smells strongly of chemicals instead of crap or urine but for my home I would prefer something that smells pleasant. This does not. At least in my opinion.

Your best bet because the very strong scent of the product, which reminds me of being in the restroom at a baseball game. Is best to put in the toilet tank rather than the bowl. Then you won't stink up the nearby areas in your home. Unless you like that kind of smell. No one here unfortunately does. Probably best to use the other un over powering scented tablets you put in the tank. To each is own. 😉

it smells like paint thinner and gross. it was making me nauseous and giving me a headache. everyone in the house hates the smell. it's been tossed**outside** in the trash because the smell was too terrible to even put it in a trashcan inside

This ish stinks SO bad...doesn't smell fresh at all. It smells like the industrial cleaner a janitor would use to clean a public restroom. Super strong chemical smell. Honestly irritated my nose and gave me a headache. I have a small apartment so it didn't take long for the smell to become overwhelming. I wrapped it in 2 plastic bags then threw it in the trash, but the smell is so bad I put it outside and I'll take it out tomorrow. I'm airing out my apartment tomorrow to make sure the smell is gone. Once again, do not recommend. Avoid avoid!
