It's made of metal and it's good for the pice I would say it would last about 5 months to a year but I could be wrong if you want a good mic stand for cheap then this is your best bet

Small piece of plastic won't hold up but ima just super glue it I mean come on it holds my mic up what else could you ask for that's why your buying a boom arm I love everything but that little plastic piece holding the arm to the clamp

it was fine for the first month then started to loosen all of the bolts so i have to tighten them every few weeks still does its job though
Not worth it in my opinion, I'm about 3 months into using it and it's already about to break, the stem that stays on the base and makes the boom move is creased and almost broke. It's nothing I've did, it's just poorly made. I've tried to doctor it myself but it's not working, it started this right on 2 months after purchased, it's only gotten worse.
This is the worst thing I have ever purchased in my ENTIRE existence. 12 dollars was tooooo much wouldn't pay 7 for this. Can barely hold up my microphone. It's not something I would ever buy again… Sam Walton would not approved of this quality you had given me. I paid 14 dollars so no one else has to. Thank you and have a nice day!
