Bradley Smokers Digital 6 Rack Food Smoker

this product do what's said in bradley's advertising pages, easy to use, reliable and easy to clean after use. it takes long to bring it to 280-320'F but it reaches ( it was cold outside, will see in summertime.) the only sad thing is that it seems to have suffer a little bit from transportation, shelves supports were bent and the lower section of the back pannel had a bad time 'too. but nothing major, the aspect and functions are 100%

Great smoker! I've wanted an electric one for a long time. Same smoker other places were about $100 more. Very glad I got it at Walmart. Free shipping and it arrived quickly.

This is my 2nd unit and I love it. I wore out my first unit. The only thing that concerns' me, is that Bradley has become harder to find except for Walmart!

Let me begin by saying this is my 3rd Bradley smoker since 2005. I purchased 2 of the 4 rack Bradleys within a month of each other. They have given me good service over the years but one of them stopped heating because of the control. It has a little rust on the outside of the cabinet so I decided to trash that one and get a new replacement. Bradley has a user's forum that is very helpful and although this 6 rack digital model has been out for about 6 years the newer ones get good marks on the forum. The price was right, and I had it shipped to my local store for free. Most other sellers have a 50/100 dollar shipping fee. I received it several days later and since I had the bisquettes already on hand, this smoker was seasoned and ready to go the same day. The controls are a breeze to set, works perfect and I have been doing chicken, beef and my own cured and smoked bacon. This 6 rack with my original 4 rack Bradley enables me to do a smoke exactly like I want and when I want to do it. One other thing, Bradley has an exemplary customer service dept that others only dream about.

Smoker worked great. I never used a smoker before an was very user friendly. Simple instructions for a set it and forget it smoking.

Works great and meats are delicious

Door needs to have latches to seal moisture from dripping. Needs a thermometer so you know smoker temp.

Water tray is small, and has to be filled multiple times. Shelves are very lightweight, and small, Rack of Ribs had to be cut in half to hit on shelf. Wood feeding system works well, unit heated up quickly, struggled to reach interior temp without being turned way up. Have only used once, but am initially disappointed as unit is a bit undersized and I am not convinced it is high quality. It did a good job of smoking and provided a lot of smoke, but not sure of ability to hold temperature yet. Jury is still out

the smoker would not hold the temperature, even small wind is affecting its operation.

There are 2 main problems with this smoker. First the controls are about 4-6 inches above the ground so you have to lie on the ground to start it, stop it, set the heat, set the time, and advance the wood. Being 6 ft tall and a senior, I find the location of the controls to be completely unacceptable. Second, the heat doesn't work well. It's supposed to have a maximum heat of 230, which is kind of low to start with, but I could never get it above 220. I was trying to smoke a few turkey legs, which should have taken about 4 hrs, but most of the time the temp was in the 200-210 range, even though I had set it to 230 from the beginning. So I had to cook the legs for 6 hrs to get them to the 165 level needed for poultry, which dried out the exterior. I can't imagine it would take to cook a pork butt, but I'm not going to try. I'm taking this cheaply made, poorly designed smoker back for a refund.
