Ease of use, rapid reading
Such a great thermometer! It has a backlight that has three different colors to alert you to a high fever. There is a setting for different ages so it takes the guess work out of if the fever is too high for your child! Plus it has an app! Thumbs up from this mom!
My parents had a Braun ear thermometer while I was growing up, and it's the same great product I remember as a child! I really like the features included in this version. The silent mode and ability to turn off the light make it less disruptive to take my daughter's temperature.
The Braun ThermoScan 7 Connect Ear Thermometer (IRT6575US) is fast, reliable, and perfect for checking temperatures—especially with babies and kids. The Age Precision feature adds extra confidence, and the connected app makes tracking readings super easy. A must-have for any household!
These are the best thermometers ever! My previous model lasted 15 years! I love all the new features, especially the nighttime mode where you can silence it and have a little glowing light to help guide you in the dark when checking your child's temperature in the middle of the night while they are sleeping.
Love this thermometer! We have 6 kids, there is always something going on here... it's great to be able to have a reliable tool to use! My kids do not mind it in their ears, and the 2-year-old is not afraid of it. As grown-ups, we love it as well!
Has worked well for our family of three kids. I love that the screen has a light so I can see the temperature at night without having to turn the light on.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I absolutely love this. I like that it's adjustable for different age brackets (since I have 3 kiddos this is wonderful!) it is one of the most accurate types of thermometers I have ever used - and I use these on myself too - way more accurate for me. Battery life is awesome - Still going strong. Love that it has extra ear protectors.
The thermometer is great, but sometimes shuts down and I have to take the battery out to start it again. It's almost instantaneous and more accurate than the temple one. It can be used for adults and small kids likewise.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Pros and Cons: ➕ Really accurate for an ear thermometer - I double-checked with other thermometers, and the measurements were always accurate ➕Age Precision technology. 3 modes: 0-3 months, 3-36 months, and 36 months-Adult. You can even set a default age for quicker use ➕Night (silent) mode - super helpful for checking a sleeping kid's temperature, plus a convenient night light to read the display in the dark ➕ Special ExacTemp stability indicator shows if the probe tip was properly inserted and pulses while the measurement is in progress ➕Option to switch between Fahrenheit and Celsius. It comes set to Fahrenheit, but since I'm used to Celsius, I like that I can change it ➕Can be paired with your smartphone - great for creating family profiles, assigning measurements, and tracking stats ➕ Protective case for convenient storage ➖ The color-coding by age feels a bit misleading to me. For example, fever in kids over 3 technically starts at 103°F, but 99.8°F is still an elevated temperature (a low-grade fever), and I wouldn't personally associate it with a green “safe” color. It's not dangerously wrong, it's a bit overly reassuring, especially for those monitoring sick kids. Ideally, green should reflect truly normal temperatures, yellow could be slightly elevated, and red would signal fever. ➖ You need to buy extra lens filters. It won't work without them, and you're supposed to use a fresh one for every measurement for hygiene. Overall: I'm really happy to have such a convenient device at home for quick and accurate temperature checks - using an armpit thermometer with a hyperactive kid is basically impossible 😄
