Well I like to keep my lawnmower running as long as I can so I use the oil that is made for it so it will last longer and if I don't use it very much during the summer months the first thing I do the next spring is change the oil and the oil filter and the air filter and the spark plug but if I run it more than 5000 hours in a season then I will definitely change the oil and filter again and keeping the grass washed out of under the mowing deck and the rest of the mower
