Bright Starts Whimsical Wild Portable Compact Baby Swing with Taggies, Unisex, Newborn and up

My daughter's first child is 6 weeks old and has been a little fussy at times. I thought of the little windup swing I had for my daughter when she was just an infant and how it had a nice calming effect on her. Even though my daughter lives some distance from me, I had Walmart ship her this little swing. I haven't been able to see the swing in person, but she says that she loves it and so does my grandson. She says it is very quiet, was easy to assemble and works well. My little grandson loves the toys that hang above the seat. I think this was a very good purchase, she can now get some house chores done while he swings and naps.

It helped me kept baby asleep while i rested instead of having to be caring him all night or hvaing him in our bed. Great price. Then the swing was keeping baby busy and entertained. It worked so good for me whith my new born i bought one for my best friend.

Omg i got these for a steal i bought 2 of these for 13 dollars each in store and they are perfect for when ypur on the go but watch out they swing fast after the 1st setting. I love how they recline so they are perfect for small newborns like mine

I wanted to like this as the price point is great and I wanted the portability but overall its just not a great product. For starters, it does not seem safe for newborns as the backing slopes straight up and compresses the babys head to chest thus blocking their airway. Also, when on the swing setting, it jerks to the side with every sway - not very relaxing to lull a baby.

Swing felt very unstable as I was assembling. That's the first problem and also I searched up and down for the weight limit when purchasing but couldn't find one. I assumed it was okay for my 9 month old after reading a review about someone's child past 12 months still using this. So I purchased thinking it would be a bit bigger but the swing is pretty small and a good size for smaller babies. Ironically, after purchasing, I THEN find the weight limit printed on the tag. Should be in the description somewhere BEFORE a buyer decides to purchase because he's about 20 lbs and that is the weight limit. Buyer beware!

Have tried numerous times to put my baby in it but it just isnt working. this last time he started gasping for air because it doesnt recline back far enough! Trying to contact the company. This is my 3rd baby and my 1st child slept in a swing so this isnt my first rodeo.

This chair is short and moves too much and bas no sort of stability, so putting the child in and taking them out is difficult. My baby didn't feel stable so I put them in once and am returning the item. A no-no for nervous babies or newborns. Also the bar that holds the toys is just barely attached and falls off if you barely touch it. Poor quality bar.

baby doesnt like it,she gets bored even with music..might last like 5-10mins after that shes bored..need to offer one with light's like fisher price use to have..
