A1101 CRV crossbars

DT August 22, 2015

Racks shipped and were received in 3 days. The installation was rather easy and the rails look great. The instructions do not mention that the racks are marked left and right. It is important to perform step #2 in the directions to clean off the paint from mounting studs. One of the special nuts stripped and one of them was too big for the mounting stud. I emailed ASG Auto customer service on Sunday. They replied first thing on Monday morning and I received replacements three days later. EXCELLENT customer service

Crossbars for 2007 Honda CRV

Mike March 16, 2016

Look and work fantastic! As others have mentioned, the instructions for installation were poorly written. Found the following below on the internet about how best to install. Really need to take the time to remove the paint from the factory studs on the vehicle. Here are those directions: The instructions still don't mention the eight phillips head screws and washers that are included, but the need for a torx wrench has been replaced with allen fittings and a supplied allen wrench. So the only tool you will need is a torque wrench or tighten the 'special nuts' an additional 90 degrees. Except for that minor inconvenience, the design and materials appear to be up to OEM standards so you can't beat it for the price. It CAN be installed by one person by exercising some care. Here is what you do with the extra screws and washers: NOTE: This series of steps begins AFTER you have cleaned the paint off the studs per the instructions. 1) Before mounting the rack to the roof of your CRV, arrange the bases and cross bars according to the labeling on each piece Front, Left, Right, etc. 2) Insert the cross bars, blunt edge forward, into the appropriate bases. 3) Attach the two small phillips head screws and washers on the underside of each cross bar and base, only SNUGLY TIGHTEN THE SCREWS into the cross bars so they can still move a little but only if gently forced as you may need to do a little adjusting in the next step BEFORE fully tightening these screws. 4) Place the racks over the exposed factory studs. NOTE: You may have to move the cross bars in or out of the bases to get a proper, centered fit overs the studs. 5) If you 'snugly' secured the eight phillips head screws, then when you remove the racks the cross bar's position in the base will be maintained and you can now tighten the eight phillips head screws! 6) Once you have tightened the eight phillips head screws in their proper position ensuring the correct fit you can continue with the directions... NOTE: Make sure that the rubber piece placed between the metal base and the roof of the CRV is properly positioned small rubber nipple must protrude through the hole in the base. NOTE: Make sure the outer edge of the plastic base cover fits within the raised edges of the rubber piece at the bottom or just meets that raised edge for a nice clean look. IMPORTANT: It's a good idea to apply a drop of 'Blue Locktite' to all the threaded fittings to keep them from vibrating loose once you're on the road! Hope this helps!

2009 Honda CRV

Daphne May 3, 2015

I was skeptical about purchasing these racks just like the others. The Dealer quoted me their very Best price at $269. After reading the other reviews I decided to order these from ASG Auto and I am Certainly glad I did!!! They are perfect, no noise - look great and will be functional! Installation was easy! Great product and arrived the day they said they would. Much Appreciated!

2011 crv roof racks

Daniel H. March 14, 2015

I ordered these after MUCH debate and lots of research! I was afraid to buy these because it always seems like you never get what you think your buying when you buy online. BUT, with these, they shipped my order the very same day and were here in 3 days!!!! They are EXACTLY what I was looking for! They installed in about hour and they look great and are VERY SOLID!! I am highly impressed and totally recommend buying what ever you need from this company!!! You will not be disappointed!

Beautiful n easy

Bree May 28, 2019

Can't believe I almost went to dealership for this. We bought kayaks with no way of putting them on the car. I have a 2008 CRV and this was so simple to put on. I am going to have my husband check the bolts to make sure they are tight enough but I believe anyone can set this up safely and correctly. Highly recommend

2010 Honda CRV

camoman69 May 11, 2015

First off I just want to say that the racks were perfect and exactly what my wife and I have been looking for. We ordered some off of eBay for a little less money and got the wrong hardware with the racks. The people tried to say that there was only one type of hardware and that was it. So long story short, when I stumbled on to this website, I hesitated at first but now we are happier than ever to have the extra space inside the car on our trips. Thanks alot

CRV Roof Rack 2009

Donna -. September 6, 2016

I have been wanting a roof rack for quite a while. Honda was way over priced, $400 installed and I was not willing to spend that much. Ordered from ASG, received them in a few days. Very happy! Super easy to install and look great!

2008 CRV crossbars

Bob -. October 27, 2016

Received in a few days and lined up perfectly. Seem strong. The only reason it didn't get a 5 is because the metal rail guides on the CRV were close to the mounting bolts so I had to 'modify the mounting plates to fit (knocked off one side of the inner guide molding). Once I did this, it fit perfectly. Have not loaded anything on it yet.

A1101 CRV crossbars

DWygs May 21, 2015

Once installed, they seem like factory-installed. The installation instructions, however, were extremely scanty it would seem they were written for a practiced installer rather than someone doing this for the first time. Here are some things that might be inserted into the instructions, should the editors be reading. The instructions did not even mentions the screws for holding the mounting bracket to the crossbar or how far the bar should be inserted into the bracket. The instructions did not talk about Left and Right brackets or which side of the car is Left or Right. The front cross bar is labeled, but the mounting brackets are not labeled front and rear, although there is a difference. But the price and the final look are both plusses.
