What I ordered
Roof rails appear to be high-quality replicas of the factory Honda rails. Holes for cross bars are in the same place, which may not be a good thing, depending on your intended use.
This model actually works on the 2018. (I messed up in the order so the ones installed could be a slightly different model). The worst part of this project was the cutting of the gutter. I was afraid of messing that up.
I have not installed these yet, but everything comes included with good instructions. They are a great price for a good product! Thank you!
It's a gift for my wife but I inspected the product and so far it looks just as good as oem but half the price. I will update after I install it.
Nice and strong
The youtube video by ErictheCarGuy on this installation was great! However, one thing he did not mention, and that is not mentioned in the instructions with the rails, is the rubber gasket that is to be installed on the middle support before installing. I didn't notice that until after I finished installing one side. After I saw how much better it was with the gasket on the other side, I had to uninstall the first side. That meant popping off the front and rear covers. The front cover came off fine, but the back cover broke the three clips. I am trying to find them online somewhere! Overall, I'm very pleased with the product and the ease of installation. It took 1.5 hours to figure out the first side, and 30 minutes for side 2.
Fitting of rails was not as easy as instruction videos made it look.
The instructions provided with the rails could be more descriptive. Online u-tube video of the installation was very helpful. The product quality is good, but I had difficulty on both sides with the match-up of the six stud bolts. With effort I could bend the pieces on the left side to fit all six studs, but had to modify the right side rail to fit. The middle and back fit perfect, but the front was forward by 1/8 inch. I could not get the flat head cap nuts on the front mount. Thus, I had to cut away the portion of the front mount where it extends into the rail by 1/8 inch. I could longer install the ST4.2x15 screws. I figured it was not going to come out. Note that in the instructions the ST4.2x15 screws must be installed first before doing Item 11. First time installation took about 4 hours.
Front and rear covers came pre-assembled which are not supposed to be. I had to carefully take them apart to bolt the rails to the car. They are attached by cheap plastic plugs, and if one breaks (like mine did) you're SOL. I used superglue so hopefully it'll hold up. One bolt and one screw easily stripped out. Hopefully I'll never need to take the rails off. Instructions were incomplete. Other than that they're great.
