Brinks, Digital Deadbolt in Tuscan Bronze Finish

This is the best price i have seen on a Brinks electronic deadbolt so I decided to try it out and replace my old key lock. I have numerous people using the lock so the possible 25 unique codes comes in handy. I can delete someone's code when needed.

This deadbolt is easy to install and program if you take the time to actually read the instructions. Reading some of these reviews makes me worried that these people actually live among us and drive on the same roads as me! I had this installed and programmed in 30 minutes. That included drilling the hole because it was a new install. As for the review that said this won't provide any protection because it's made of plastic - do you really think a company would design, manufacture, and sell a plastic deadbolt? Really?? The plastic contains the electronics and batteries. It screws to a metal plate that bolts to the outer part of the deadbolt. This thing is just as strong as any other deadbolt. You will not find a better digital deadbolt for this price.

Been wanting one for a while now and this has been great so far. I have a love/hate relationship with the automatic lock. I love that it auto locks after 10 seconds but hate it if your going in and out a lot. The installation was as expected but the programming took a little while to figure out, but then again my husband would not let me try to do it either, so, probably user error, lol.

This is a great bargain, after I figured out how to set up the rest was a breeze. I love the setting for this to lock itself, very convenient for the person who forgets to lock the door.

This deadbolt was easy to install and works great; however, there is a typo on the instruction sheet that made it difficult to program. Once I figured that out, it was a dream.

Love this door lock. Convenient push button entry. Brinks is a great brand name when it comes to security. Programming instructions may be a little gray tho.

Great deal for Black Friday! But... After multiple, I do mean multiple attempts to program this lock, I thought I'd take it back because it was damaged. I discovered they'd only refund the purchase price instead of exchanging for a new lock. During my attempts; I watched multiple "How-to" videos on YouTube. Turns out, the majority of people who purchase this lock had the same issue, some just leaving it installed and using it as a regular deadbolt!?? I ain't that lazy haha. My advice would be to research before buying - You may just save yourself a half-day's work and the feeling that you're less of a man/woman after many, many failed attempts. Overall -- 1 star for the Brinks How-To video, and the lack of YouTube Videos with the same lock. Also 1 Star for not exchanging to make sure it was the lock or me.

Well I got locked out of my house because the deadbolt sticks and it doesn't go all of the way back in unless you have your key to force it back in. I even tried some oil on there and it still sticks. I am so disappointed because I got this because of the keyless entry and that doesn't work.

First what I didnt read or notice is inside of house is black not nickel as pictured. I tried repeatedly to work to no avail. Tried looking at online videos for Hampton who represents Brinks. They dont work. Called company and was informed this is a new product and have not worked out bugs to just return. I did just that. It is fairly simple to install but if you have problems you have to start over and oh yes instructions are miniscule. Try programing something while reading through magnifying glass.

This is total garbage a waste of money the product is hard plastic and will no give any security. Received this today and it will be returned tomorrow. My rating for this item is a negative star rating but the web forces at least a 1 star in order to write a review. DO NOT PURCHASE. DO NOT PURCHASE!!!
