Very high quality lock. I wasn't aware of the screwing method it uses, I assumed it was set to whatever number you wanted forever. Fortunately, as long as you double checked that you locked it to the correct number this isn't typically an issue.

this lock has a very smooth operation and is a very sturdy lock.

Like the brass construction but I dont find the numbers easy to turn to the exact spot they need to be in to open it. Its not a traditional pop up arm. It sort of just swings open. So it doesn't feel as secure. The worst part it is SO EASY to accidentally reprogram the code. If you drop it and the steel bar turns 180 degrees. And the slightest bit of pressure put on the arm...its over. Lock is locked and you cant reset it. Its easy to use but I dont like the opening of it. They need to make the the numbers click into place more solid and have some kind of reset pin or something.

Nice lock. Not prone to rust if used outdoors. I like the 4 numbers better than locks with only 3. The only problem is that it is easy tor someone to turn the shackle backwards and bump a number and then your combination has changed and the lock is worthless and you have to cut it off. Third lock I've had to buy because of that.

Good seller, Item was shipped quickly. The Brinks lock is far too small. I didn't recomed this lock.

Lock looked sharp, and had the Brinks name. Total crud. I was able to set my own combo, but it always required multiple attempts to get it to unlock, and after less than 10 uses it would not open. Period. (Thank God it was not on a locker at the Gym - I was going to use it there!) Walmart refunded and and I am giving it one more chance, but reading other reviews, I probably should have just tried something/anything else!

See above. A bare lock loose in the package. As received, completely useless. NO INSTRUCTIONS OR ANY HINT AS TO HOW TO OPEN IT OR SET IT. This is a new low in customer service!

My 13 year old understood how to use the lock, but after the first use on his sports locker, he/his friend/football coach could not get the lock to open. He had practiced using it at home and it opened fine, so we know the correct code was being used.
