Very pleased with the purchase

Anonymous March 2, 2025

This was a good purchase for my household. The setup was easy and so far it has worked as expected. I'm only using the ice and cold water feature. I bought this model rather than the upgrade stainless steel model which my neighbor has. The additional $$ wasn't worth having SS or a clock and other than that I can't tell any difference in performance. I like the ice for drinks but I don't think it would be the right ice for a cooler because it does tend to melt while it sits in the reservoir. The only negative I have is the dispenser for ice and water is a little slow. That negative does not override I like the ice, the cold water, and it is attractive in my kitchen.

A Must Have!

Sugar Land Tx March 22, 2025

Everyone loves a little extra ice! Add to that fact that is made with your favorite purchased water. Great for a family with kids. We leave cups on top and encourage hydration!

Everything you need

Erik Frank February 20, 2025

I really like this machine. It makes the perfect amount of ice for us. Love the hot and cold water features. A few things that could be improved upon is the lighting when filling cups, its hard to see the levels in your cup cause taller cups block the current light. Just move the light to the discharge lines for ice and water. Last thing is maybe insulate the cabinet on inside. This thing makes sounds, i won't say loud noise. Just a lot going on in there, dropping ice, pumping water, fans, compressor. Still would buy another fyi

One Stop Shop

Wesley April 5, 2025

It's between a four and five stars for me, only because of the noise it produces. Love the one stop shop for water and ice. We had a ice maker and was using the same water bottles to fill up the separate machine. Which was fine until I seen this machine, Love not having to lift the bottles now to fill the ice machine .

Mostly perfect....but oh those sounds

kinglerch February 6, 2025

First the good. The design is excellent, it looks nice. The glowing buttons make it easy to tell what the unit is doing (cooling, making ice, etc). It is VERY nice to have an ice maker in a machine like this as I have well water and could never normally have an ice maker of any kind. It is easy to use and easy to understand. And generally the manual is well written. Cleaning is easier with the two valves/tubes included in this unit, as opposed to most units where you would have to hold down the dispenser button for a half hour to empty. Cleaning this is a breeze and I followed the instructions for the citric acid and although I have only owned this for a week or so, the water and ice tastes fine. The bad aren't many. First, the price is a bit more than I think it should cost, but this is a specialty unit, so it is understandable. And many functions aren't described in the manual. For example, when it is "cooling", what is it doing? I later learned the unused ice is dropped into the cooling tank, which is a clever idea. It would be nice to know more about what is going on inside the unit, to explain the sounds and know how to use it. But of course most people would just plug it in and that's it...I am not most people... Yes, biggest downside to this unit is the sound. On a normal day, I literally use 2 or 3 cups of water/ice. That's it! 2 or 3 cups. Yet this unit is bubbling and churning and dropping ice and bonking and whatever else, for hours and hours and hours, all day long. While I am sure whatever it's doing is needed, I am also sure that for my uses, it is overkill. Maybe for an office where people are constantly getting water/ice, but not for me. The noise was just too much. The solution is to have the ice maker and water cooler turn off when I don't want to hear the noise, and turn on when I am not around it. For some people that would be at night, and other people that could be while they are at work. And thankfully Brio has switches. All I did was replace the switches with relays, and power them with an app. Yes this is a pain, but it takes less than an hour to do, and then you have full control. You can have it turn on when you want and off when you don't want to hear it. And even after having the switches off for the entire day, there was still plenty of ice/cold water for me. And if not, all you have to do is change the schedule. I realize most people will not want to do this or even know what a relay is. In those cases you can manually switch the switches at certain times of the day. But if Brio reads this, and understands that some people may want more control over how their unit operates, then that is enough. Maybe they will offer their own app in the future.

Buyers remorse

Kelly B August 11, 2025

I have buyers remorse. I splurged and purchased this machine because I wanted one that made ice, cold water and hot water. All was going well until I turned on the ice switch. Ice kept falling out of the machine onto my floor. It was annoying but I figured I could deal with it, However, once the machine started to make ice, the cold water started to taste like stale ice cubes. It was horrible. I finally emptied the machine of ice and turned the ice machine off. The cold water issue was fixed but now I can't have ice cubes. Very disappointed.

Minimal ice that's already melting.

Stephanie September 17, 2025

Upgraded to this brio dispenser with ice, my old one was water only. I hate it. We let it sit for 24 hours like it said. We then plugged it in and waited for the ice to fill up. The next day, the ice comes out very slow and “melty” looking. It's half of the size as it should be. 24 hours later, No improvement. The machine is also just kinda loud and clunky sounding. Wish i would have just invested in a ice machine only.

DO NOT BUY THIS: Bottom Load 320 self cleaning/ice

kgkgkg September 2, 2025

DO NOT BUY THIS -- I bought it on black friday sale... they advertised as black friday sale, and then two days into the weekend they dropped the price even lower during the same "black friday sale" and would not honor their lower price. Upon arrival, we went through 3- 5 gallon water jugs to get the bad chemical taste out of the drinking water and countless batches of ice. The hot water has never worked properly -- it claims it gets to a temperature that it does not. It is extremely inconsistent. And in the last few months the water has giant white flakes in it (mineralized during the 'self cleaning process' from the spring water we use) and tastes awful. The water out of the bottle itself tastes great, but after getting processed through the machine looks and tastes horrible. We have descaled per the exact user manual countless times in the last two months -- using both citric acid and white vinegar (separately, as instructed). The last time we did it we used citric acid and repeated the LENGTHY process twice in one day.... a total pain. Only for us to not even make it through 2 more 5 gallon bottles less than 3 weeks later with flakes and awful taste. SAVE YOUR HEADACHE AND MONEY.
