This review is from my son (as he owns the Brita Elite, 27 cup). It was most important he bought the "Elite model", to help with the reduction of lead. He noticed the difference in the taste of the water immediately ! And the three cats are much happier now as well. Apparently cats can taste quality differences with freshness. They are drinking more water too. Also, Jeff was pleased to know that the filter only has to be changed, once every 6 months. He would definitely recommend this Elite Brita model to a friend.
I'm incredibly picky when it comes to water filters. I have some sensory issues and so investing in one is a big commitment. this water makes the water for my house actually taste good and was so easy to use. I am so thankful I bought it! now I don't have to keep buying bottles of water 🥰
This thing is the best!! I bought it because I don't have to replace the filter for 6 months!!! It was worth every penny to have good clean water for my grandkids to drink. It holds alot of water so you don't have to be constantly filling it. Comes with one filter and then you can use it for six months without worry:
I transferred the Brita Standard filter I was using in the pitcher to install it, but the filter is loose and doesn't fit snugly. Because of that, some tap water isn't being filtered and is flowing down below. The Brita filter included with the dispenser fits perfectly. However, the filter I previously purchased for use in the pitcher is slightly loose in size. Is there a separate filter specifically made for the Dispenser? As far as I know, they're all supposed to be compatible.
This Brita filter/dispenser does three things for me: get the nasty chlorine out of my drinking water, make it easy to fill drinking vessels, save me from buying roundabout 100 plastic bottles of purified water every month. Brita does just that. Doesn't filter the minerals that cause limescale - really, really bad in my Tucson tap water. But the Brita Elite filter doesn't promise to. That requires an expensive, elaborate reverse osmosis setup. Still running the first filter. No leaks. Excellent product at the price-point.
The one I received was chipped and had shards of acrylic inside. The replacement came quickly but it, too, was cracked and I had to return it. I have several smaller dispensers and I would buy them. But I would be sure to purchase in store to minimize the chance of getting a damaged product.
We've only used it for a short time but it seems like a good dispenser. The only issue is that it is very small and has to be refilled very often. We had the competitor brand which was larger but did not filter out as many contaminents as this one. Would still recommend for a small household.
The Brita 27 Cup UltraMax dispenser is good for families due to its large capacity and it does improve the taste of tap water by reducing chlorine. However, the filtration process is a bit slow, and the plastic build feels average for the price. The spigot also tends to drip occasionally. Overall, it works fine but could be better in quality and performance.
If you plan on keeping it in the fridge and simply pouring yourself glasses of water or filling up containers, it is terrible. The spout is level with the surface you place it on, so it will rub against that surface and prevent it from staying clean. Also the tab on top of the spot is poorly placed. I keep this in my fridge on a shelf and have to pull it out slightly to use it and then put it back in. My kids don't always put it back far enough, so when they close the fridge, the shelves in the door push against the tab, causing it to slowly dispense water out. If not careful, you will have a nice surprise next time you open your fridge.
the BRITA ELITE purchased had a fault in teh design which was not filtering the water well which caused stomach problems to me %26 my wife....i complained %26 walmart told us to return %26 take the refund...but did not get the entire refund...the customers care at the walmart store helped with the process for getting the refund....but the barcode had some issue for which i tried to contact with the walmart customer care %26 they were rude and did not want to help us....the guy on the other kept me on hold and did not connect me the manager....total disappointing servvice...%26 they did not refund the actual cost....
