These have improved my water so much that I cannot live without them because well dirty water and contaminated water just will not do and if you drink tap water you must drink it from this or you will regret it in life later on (Possibly, I can't speak to that for certain but I know for myself that it made a huge improvement). Bottled water comes mostly from some tap in a city somewhere and yes, while it does say comes from a spring that "spring" is indeed fed through the city water supply and bottled and sold as though it was indeed directly from the spring, now that isn't to say that ALL bottled water is from city water but some is and that is the truth as it says so on bottles I have drank from before that it literally came from a tap in a city. If you want real healthy clean water and want to be able to not have toxic things inside of you to the best of your ability this is the thing you need to use so I recommend you listen to your heart and mind and think it over the pros and cons and maybe write a list down and mind map the whole thing out and see for yourself by and from yourself just how awesome it would be to have healthy water. Mind you if the city you are in says do not drink the water THEN DON'T DRINK THE WATER! Otherwise if the water is healthy enough to drink in the first place and doesn't have microbes in it that are bad for you then this is exactly what you need to filter your water.. if you are really really worried about it boil your water first then let it cool to room temperature then filter it through this, then the microbes are dead (most of them) and you also have a lot of the bad things out of the water as well, mind you this isn't a cure all and you should check your water and ask a person who is knowledgeable if the water is able to be drank but certainly if it is capable of being drank then my all means this will make it taste good due to not having so many bad things inside the water. Just my opinion, check with a professional and this isn't medical advice none of my stuff is it is just my experience that it made things better for my health.
This is for the Brita elite 4 water filter package. It purifies the water removing more than any other brand I have researched. The filter lasts for a long time. It is more economical than buying water, as we pay for water anyway, so we might as well use it wisely, without having the enormous amount of plastic water bottles. Wal-Mart has the best price. Shipped it as well, with great information on the process of shipment and tracking. I would definitely recommend this package of 4 elite pitcher water filters. Connie Indiana
The elite filter proved to be worth purchasing. Some of my pipes are old copper with lead solder. This filter really improved the taste. Once my Brita light turned orange it was easy to remove the old filter and replace with the new. I'd recommend buying a four pack to always have them on hand.
Avoid knock-offs, cheaper imitations.
These filters are Authentic: Buyer beware! I noticed when purchasing items online thru 3rd party sellers Brita filter listed ( ex: B.ita) with Dot between various letters. Also color blue and name missing on some product listed. Also 3rd party info name listed with various numbers %26 letters? These Knockoff filters are also listed at lower prices. These filters are authentic and have been filtering good so far. We noticed city water having chemical %26 fishy odor taste and using these filters water quality better now. I contacted Red Lion water authorities and they stated in water drought, now receiving water from Susquehanna river poor quality and trying to clean is a challenge!
These filters have good flow, last for 5 months and remove bad tastes, but do they really remove lead and other undesirables like Brita claims. I don't know and don't have the means to test them. The tests Brita claims in their marketing material appear not to have been done by the top independent testing organization. I am inclined to trust Brita to have done the tests properly, but can't be sure.
Product box arrived with the top sealing tape opened and the bottom crushed. They shipped in a kind big poly bubble envelope with this very thin cardboard box inside. Bought as a gift.
The filters are OK - I THINK. Being the box was shipped in a bubble wrap bag, then crushed (violently, by the look of it), time will tell if the filters were damaged. Doesn't appear to be any visible damage on the 2 I opened. I don't want to open the sealed plastic over the other 2 to check them, so I'll just have to hope they weren't damaged.
This came with the seal broken on the outer package, which was unexpected for a food item is over $50. The package was also banged up on the corners and torn.
I received 4 Brita Elite replacement filters ($54.00)! The outer box was pristine. The inner box was crushed and the safety sealed had been opened! The plastic packaging was in tact on each individual cartridge. Hopefully they aren't damaged??? The Walmart box had a return address of KYI Returns Center in Shepherdsville, Ky. Shame on Walmart for using this third party supplier!! This is a rip off!!!
