I like it, but you might not...

dkrichie September 29, 2018

I like the design that you do not have to remove/flip up the top to fill with water. This model has a mechanism that allows you to just put it under the faucet and it will fill when the water pressure is high enough on the mechanism on top. It kind of opens likes a reverse drawbridge. It will then start to close up when it gets full. The reason I say you might not like it is this... It leaves some water drops on the top after you are done. You also may feel that anything on the top will get into the water, like dust, but I think the filter takes care of this. But I use mine enough that I don't think there is much getting in there. But I could see how this might be a draw-back for some. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Brita Lake is the best yet!

Zach October 6, 2018

I bought a Brita Lake pitcher with two filters included at Costco. I also buy 10-pack boxes of brita filters at Costco. I use this filter system obsessively, and I'm totally OK with that! The Brita Lake pitcher's fill tank cap has a plastic air-bubble on the bottom of it which automatically closes the cap when the water tank is full. No more flipping the cap open and closed with your thumb. That previous cap would get suction-tight closed and whenever it flipped up, water droplets would go flying. I love this new cap design. Also, the whole pitcher in itself is much stronger. My previous pitchers would break after six months. I believe this one will last at least two years. Six months is not long enough, but two years is plenty long. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

I like it but wonder about the autofill lid

ScottM August 11, 2018

I just bought this pitcher to replace an older Brita pitcher that has started regularly spilling water on the counter. While I like this pitcher and the autofill feature, I wonder whether the company has done any studies about the exposure to germs. With the top of the autofill lid exposed to the air in the refrigerator, any germs floating in the air could land on the autofill lid and get washed into the pitcher when you fill it.

Not sure what to expect

Babahesh February 23, 2018

I bought my first Brita lake model pitcher today. Followed all the instructions. However not sure if the pitcher should fill so quickly. Almost at the same speed as it is coming from the tap. My son has an older model of Brita which I'm used to it. The pitcher gets fill much slower rate. Where one is assuming the filter is doing its job. But mine the pitcher and the resovoir gets fill at the same rate. Is this ok or did I do something wrong.

Broken?

Anna0312 June 16, 2018

I bought this an hour ago and washed it and started filling it a few times to use it, but the auto fill top does not close. It only closes if the pitcher is filled to the brim. Is it supposed to do that? If so, I don't like that. I want the lid to be closed in the fridge.

Top does not stay on.

Shelly67 July 8, 2018

This is my second Brita and same problem exist. You would think you would get a design engineer that could make a top that fits. Because of the insert that holds the filter it does not allow top to fit properly. It is a poor design! I would not recommend anyone buying one until issue is fixed.
