We bought a pack of 2 of these filters as we live in an old building and not only do I not like the taste of chlorinated water, I am concerned with it being and old apartment building that there may be excessive lead in the old plumbing. I found that the filters were great at first but they degraded until after only 3 months they were virtually unusable as they filtered about 1 drop every 2 seconds and it is only my wife and I so definitely not due to over usage. Also a habit we picked up from living overseas we boll our water first (and let it cool to room temperature before putting it in the Brita) which already removes most of the chlorine so again, definitely not an issue with it being overused. In saying that, I just called Brita and explained this to them and the polite representative informed me that they have identified the problem, have now corrected it and that they will send me a coupon for 2 new filters that should now last the appropriate amount of time. So basically one star for the old filters, 5 stars for the customer support and if they have fixed the issue as I was told then definitely 5 stars for the new filters. As a side note, my wife's cats will now no longer drink tap water since we started giving them the filtered water. I tried to give them unfiltered water and the one cat sat by his water dish, staring at me while tapping the tap water in his dish with his paw until I replaced it with the filtered water.
The draining holes are on the side not the bottom. So, when it is placed into the holder it cannot drain properly. It takes an hour or more for a full container, unless you are filling the 27 cup container. That could talk up to 3 hrs.
I decided to follow up with extended life blue filters for my new Brita pitcher. I purchased it at the drug store where I fill my prescriptions. The extended life filters were expensive. I should have tried Walmart first. Their prices were more reasonable. I will always try Walmart first for my future purposes. I could save a bundle, as they say/
These filters removes lead and mercury and other heavy metals in addition soluable contaminants
Love the long life Brita filters, you only use 2 a year

Bought for husband . He really likes it. Water power is exceptional. Came in a timely manner
We purchased this 3 weeks ago and have had nothing but problems with it. Although we only have the 8 cup capacity Brita, it takes the water over 45 minutes to filter through. It is installed correctly and it is not damaged in any way. We've tried everything we could and it just doesn't improve things.
Good to not have to keep replacing the filter as often. Also, less plastic waste. Still wondering why they couldn't be manufactured so all you had to do us replace the filtering material. Talk about corporate world being concerned about CO2 and the environment.
These long lasting filters are not the same quality as the original monthly filters. When this filtered water is boiled in the tea kettle, granules are left to settle and cling to aluminum sides. As if not filtered at all. Constant cleaning does not help. Used in tea, cocoa and instant coffee ☕️ and is terribly unpleasant with these dry granules… of calcium? Went back to original monthly filters. Will be calling Brita about this.
