They needed water bottles for travel, I wanted the filter ones because they are overseas and I wanted them to have purified water. But, I didn't have time to do much research, and she said these would be fine. Good travel size, keep water cool for long periods.
I have 4- 20 oz stainless steel water bottles one for each family member and my handle on one of them the rivot has popped out and we have lost it so I don't have a handle anymore to carry it by. I wish you'd sell the lids as a replacement part.
It's really a great bottle...until the cap breaks. After a year of use, the front edge of the cap just crumbled off. This seems to be a common complaint among the negative reviews, but it really is a nice bottle up until then. Kept my drinks cold all day long. The plastic filtered bottle I have from Brita is still going strong after 4.5 years, but it doesn't keep your water nice and cold like this one did.
I bought myself this brita to minimize plastic water waste. The bottle functions as intended, so very happy with that. Cons: When the click latch breaks on the snap cap you have to replace the entire water bottle. There should be replacement parts. Adding ice cubes, the ice cubes must elongated/skinny or small in order to fit threw the top and easily maneuver around the filter stem.
Like many others the part that holds the cap part of the straw component broke so now I can't take the bottle out of the house because the 32 oz metal bottle is too big to fit in any cup holder. Anywhere else in a vehicle and it tips over, spilling water everywhere. I see where this is a known problem for over 6 years now & Brita won't fix the problem or sell replacement lids. I'm considering looking for something else because that lack of customer care shouldn't get rewarded.
I have had this water bottle for months and never had any issues. But the cap recently broke so now it's constantly hanging open. I love the brita filter and the construction of the straw but I hate how the lid is broken and doesn't close. It's. a poor design. I want to order another lid but Brita doesn't sell the lid separately which is frustrating. If this is such a common design flaw they should just sell the lids. I don't need a filter or straw attachment, I just need the lid.
I love this bottle, until the cap breaks. I have owned two and the latch has broken both times in the same way within a year. It's very frustrating that 1) they are not designed better to resist breakage and 2) there is no replacement cap available. Brita needs to do better. It's a great way to filter water on the go, but a broken latch makes the whole thing useless. Please improve the design and/or sell replacement caps. I now have 2 useless water bottles, and won't be buying a third. Very disappointing.
Whilst I have been very happy with this bottle, having purchased 3 of these now for myself (work, home etc.), the clasp that keeps the lid has broken from just normal use, making the bottle redundant. This is very disappointing given the cost of this bottle, and the perceived quality of the bottle. To make it even worse, I've been informed that there isn't a replacement part for this.
I've now gotten 2 of these water bottles. They probably get positive reviews from people who haven't had them very long because the cap eventually breaks so that it can't be closed, exposing the mouthpiece and rendering the bottle virtually unusable. There's not much point in getting a durable metal bottle when the weak plastic cap will break anyway. Not only that, but they don't make replacement caps. I've read multiple reviews and posts on other websites and this has been an issue for years now when it should be a fairly simple fix. I don't plan on getting another one (or any other Brita product, for that matter).
I bought this water bottle about a year ago, I used it for a month and loved it! Then a small piece on the cap where the lock is broke, now it won'tstay closed. I have been searching all over the internet for a replacement cap and all I can find is a replacement straw. I love my 20 oz water bottle it was the perfect size for the car and kept my water cold all day. How can I get a replacement lid?
