Britax B-Safe Gen2 35 lbs Infant Car Seat, Black

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I recently received this Britax B-Safe Gen2 infant car seat from Stellar Product Testing Panel. My baby girl is 3 months old and has been using it everyday since it arrived! We love the side impact protection it gives, especially when we drive on the highway. It's easy to unhook from its base and to connect with our Britax stroller. The comfortable straps and cushions make our trips smooth and she falls asleep in peace. It was a bit of a struggle to install, but once in place I felt my baby was going to be taken care and protected wherever I drive. My favorite features are the adjustable straps and wide sunshade for complete protection, growth, and comfort. My baby's safety is the most important thing to me while we are driving and I am glad I am able to test out this new car seat from Britax.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am in love with our new Britax B-Safe Gen2 Infant Car Seat! We have used this brand in the past but the updates to this seat are awesome. The plush neoprene type lining is super comfortable for baby. The way the seat is designed, she is so easily and comfortably positioned in the seat, she's not sinking back into it. The functionality is really easy which I so appreciate when I am juggling 100 things and want to get settled quickly. The straps easily pull out to position baby and the side hooks allow you to rest the straps while you position her. We often use our sunshade as we live in CA and it is sunny - it provides the perfect shade. My husband installed it and it was a breeze. I received this product as of the Stellar Product Testing Panel but would suggest it to any new parents.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Britax B-Safe Gen2 Infant Car Seat is so easy to install, it only takes a few minutes to setup it and you're ready to go. The car seat itself clicks in without effort and has a quick release latch on the back. I originally tried out a Britax car seat because all of the research I did prior showed me how well-made, sturdy, and reliable they are, and this could not be more true in regards to the B-Safe Gen2. It is advertised as “roomier, softer, better” and that it is it. Based on appearance alone it's more sleek, thinner, and more cushy. Having used Britax before I can truly attest that this version is an upgrade. It's all black exterior look and cushy seat give it a very lux look. In every way they've taken this car seat up a level, the inner lining and cushion includes lumbar support for baby that the original doesn't, the cushions are washable, the sun shade is sturdier, even the release latch has been updated. When it comes to a car seat, safety of course is my first priority and the sturdiness of this car seat leaves me feeling very confident that it will do as it is supposed to. So if I were to say my favorite things about the car seat aside from the safety I would have to say it's comfort. We do a lot of long and lengthy traveling in our car so the extra comfort for my son is a huge bonus, it keeps him happier for longer periods of time, which on a long trip makes a huge difference for me. I do also love that it can attach to the Britax stroller. I have the Britax stroller that I bought with the original car seat and knowing that I could automatically attach this new car seat to it was such a relief. Not having to worry about purchasing new attachments or a new stroller altogether is definitely a pro on my list. The only aspects a person may not love about the car seat are that it is on the heavier side when carrying it and the sun shade is fixed to the back so it can't be moved to cover baby's face in any direction, however, these are not make or break things for me. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We are big fans of Britax car seats in our house. The ease of install and top notch safety features are what landed us on the brand. I was excited to add the Britax B-Safe Gen2 to our line up when Stellar Product Testing Panel sent it my way to review. I have used the older model of this seat with my previous children. The Gen2 has all the safety features I appreciate (like a steel frame), easily snaps into my strollers with an adapter, and has an updated lining that's soft and sleek, and easy to wash! That was a big & necessary upgrade (because well, babies make messes!) The base installs easily but is very secure. It is a heavy seat, but that's due to the steel frame so, it's a slight inconvenience I'll take for safety. I feel 100% confident driving my infant around when she's in this Britax seat. It's the one I recommend time and time again, and will continue to!

I have three kids still in car seats (an infant, and two in forward facing seats. When we brought my third baby home, I found it VERY difficult to get all three seats in. If I had tried the Britax from the get go, I would have saved myself A LOT of frustration. The base is pretty slim and it fits so much better with the two other seats. It was a bit harder to install and get properly tightened, which is mainly why I didn't give it five stars. It sits up much higher than my other infant seat, which I liked, and I loved how deep the seat is. Baby just looks a bit safer sitting down further in the seat, having the sides come up higher around him. I also find it a little harder to unlatch the seat when removing from the base—but maybe that's a good thing? I also love the material the seat is made out of, it doesn't seem like it would stain easily and will be easy to clean when spills do happen. I would recommend this seat, it feels like a solid, safe option for an infant seat. My only complaint was installation, it just wasn't as easy to tighten in as I would have liked.

As a parent of a toddler and a 3 month old, I have used both infant only seats and convertible seats in the past, and definitely prefer a rear facing only seat for the infant stage. I absolutely love the safety features that went into this seat, especially the steel frame base intended to absorb impact. Installation was a bit difficult for me given my height (5'2) and the height of my car (crossover). My husband was able to do it without any issue; it took him about 90 seconds. There is plenty of room to move front seats back without touching the car seat. The material feels soft and baby looks very comfortable when she's in the car seat. The canopy is large and covers baby well. I LOVE that you can remove the cover to wash and dry. Our car seats covers in the past have been line dry only, which makes cleaning them difficult. I followed the instructions on washing and drying this cover before first use, and it was easy to remove and put back on. Overall, this car seat is convenient, easy to install, and safe. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this product from the Stellar product testing panel. The carseat is solid black and nothing magnificent to look at. It is lighter than a lot of different seats but you can feel the safety features (the thinker straps, steel frame, and padded interior). It does not have a lot of padding and you can feel some of the support inside where the child sits (I am not sure if it is more me or the child that feels it). My child seemed to be very comfortable in this seat! Installing the base was very easy once I figured out how to get the Latch system out of the base. It was a little loose for my liking so I also added the seat belt and again, super easy. Another plus about the base and seat is that they are thin. I could see being able to fit multiple seats in the car with this base/ seat set. Overall, 4 stars and would recommend with today's vehicles!

It was super easy to install into the car too. Most of all, it keeps our most precious cargo safe as can be, we never worry for a minute about safety. We also have the britax stroller that easily clicks and connects to the infant seat, making it so very nice and convenient to use with a new itty bitty baby! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] A heartfelt thank you to Stellar Product Testing Panel for allowing my family to test this Britax B-Safe Gen2 Infant Car Seat. The very first thing I took note of is the weight of this car seat as it is on the heavy side. The weight naturally makes it feel more sturdy and durable than lighter seats but it's too heavy for my lifestyle. With Covid we are certainly home more often than not but when I am out running errands I often have several to do in one trip. Having to lug this seat in and out is tiresome. Add to that lifting this up into and out of a cart because it's too heavy to carry for even a short trip has my back screaming at me. It installs like a dream, the latch system and the instructions make that easy work. The buckles can be maneuvered one handed which is a lovely feature. The fabric is soft however it has little padding and I can imagine that could be very uncomfortable on long rides. I appreciate the rubberized grip on the handle and the buttons to adjust the handle are sized and placed perfectly. I love that the canopy can be extended or retracted without making a sound so there's no disturbing a sleeping baby. My favorite feature is the ease of removing the cover to toss in the washing machine as necessary, they made this so easy and such a time saver! Overall, this feels like a safe seat for my infant to travel in the car with and I trust it to do its job.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Thanks to the Stellar Product Testing Panel, we were able to try the Britax B-Safe Gen2 Infant Car Seat for our 3 month old daughter. There were some features about the car seat we really: it was very lightweight to carry; it was easy to put our daughter in (she didn't fuss at all!); the baby's harness straps were easy to use; and the cover easily came off for washings. We also really liked the car seat's ability to be strapped in a car without the need for a base, which helped a lot when Grandma needed to pick up the baby - this was our favorite feature! Although the car seat has excellent safety features, they didn't seem any different to us from other brands we've tried. In fact, we weren't pleased with how upright our daughter sat in the seat since she is so young and should be reclined a bit more. Also, the canopy catches on the handle each time we move the carry handle. We were not pleased with the lower connectors because they tuck into the base for storage when not in use and are VERY hard to get out of this spot. Once in, the straps to tighten the base to the seat were difficult to find, and, once found, they were difficult to pull. Overall, we give this car seat a B+!
