Britax B-Safe Gen2 35 lbs Infant Car Seat, Black

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is the best infant car seat I have ever owned and I have four kids! First, and of course most importantly, is safety. As with all Britax products I've owned I feel that my little guy is safe and protected when I put him in this car seat. Secondly, you can throw the cover in the washing machine. I repeat the car seat cover is machine washable (it's important enough to say twice.) As with all babies my little guy spits up and has diaper blow outs, but I don't worry if that happens in this seat because I know it will be easy to clean. The box says "Now Roomier" and they weren't kidding. I feel like this car seat is wide enough for even the chunkiest of babies to be safe and comfortable. I had no problem popping this car seat into my Britax stroller and taking my little guy for walks. I loved this car seat and I want to say thank you to the Stellar Product Testing Panel for sending it to me to try!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am in love with our new Britax B-Safe Gen2 Infant Car Seat! We have used this brand in the past but the updates to this seat are awesome. The plush neoprene type lining is super comfortable for baby. The way the seat is designed, she is so easily and comfortably positioned in the seat, she's not sinking back into it. The functionality is really easy which I so appreciate when I am juggling 100 things and want to get settled quickly. The straps easily pull out to position baby and the side hooks allow you to rest the straps while you position her. We often use our sunshade as we live in CA and it is sunny - it provides the perfect shade. My husband installed it and it was a breeze. I received this product as of the Stellar Product Testing Panel but would suggest it to any new parents.

The Britax B-Safe Gen 2 Infant car seat just feels safe - you literally can feel how sturdy and well made it is just by holding it. I love that it has a steel re-inforced base and the crumple zones throughout - it is made to keep your baby safe. It is extremely easy to install the base and the harness is simple to use, which helps to eliminate user error. The fabric is also a breeze to wipe down and keep clean! My favorite feature of this car seat is how easy it is to click in and out of its base. Baby is sleeping? Simply press the button and lift the carrier out and click it into your stroller! This car seat definitely works best if you have a Britax stroller - its like icing on the cake. With or without the stroller, though, this is an amazing car seat because its safety features are amazing. Having the stroller just increases the convenience factor! This is my second Britax infant seat, I purchase my first (Britax BSafe 35 travel system) in 2017 for my first born. I have a new 2020 baby who is utilizing this seat. I love the design of the seat, it's slim which is nice for vehicles with small backseats and multiple carseats. I also love the fabric that is used on the new seat, it is much nicer than the original. It's soft and I appreciate that it doesn't have any funky patterns to it. This seat works great with my Britax stroller, pops right in and out like the original. The installation was very simple and quick. There are only two cons I have with this seat. First, it's heavy. You'll find that infant seats in general are heavy but both of my Britax seats are heavier than others. I don't necessarily mind this as safety is my top priority (and hello, let's build up those arm muscles) but it does take a little oomph to carry around. Also, the visor on the infant seat is a bit too close to the arm so when it's being carried it can be hard to move the visor up and down because it hits my arm/hand. It's simple to just adjust the visor before I pick the carrier up so I don't find this to be a huge issue. This seat gets an A+ from me. I definitely recommend it to new mamas.

When I first received the Britax B-Safe Gen 2 infant car seat I was super excited to try it out with my 2 month old daughter. I had previously had a Britax B-Safe car seat that I used with my younger children. The first thing I noticed was how soft and comfortable the padding on the seat was. My older car seat did not have this so I was pleasantly surprised. It's also super wipeable. I can easily clean up any spit up with a regular baby wipe. The safety features on this seat are top notch, the only reason we've always used Britax products. There is a layer of side impact protection and it has a steel frame and energy-absorbing base. It's also incredibly lightweight in my opinion. The infant head padding is an amazing feature that cushions and supports. My baby always seems comfortable in this seat. We installed this seat using the base and it was very quick and easy to use the LATCH system. There are center straps to pull tight. When the seat is installed on the base you can hear an audible click. It's helpful to see the positional indicator on the side as well. We have the Britax B-Agile single stroller and I was able to seamlessly use this car seat with our stroller without having to purchase any additional attachments. It was so convenient to be able to click and go! It makes for a great travel system. The only thing I don't love about this seat is the top adjustable shade. Although it covers the baby while in the car seat a good amount, the height of it makes It difficult to adjust the handle. It gets stuck at the top and I have to maneuver the shade up or down. A minor inconvenience that does not make or break my opinion on this car seat. This is an amazing car seat. I feel my daughter is safe, secure, and comfortable.

It has soft padding, so baby seems safe and comfortable. It is SO easy to adjust when baby grows taller. It was really easy to install the base in our car with the clips and you can also use it without the base, just a seatbelt, if you are traveling or in a car that's not your own! We have a Britax stroller as well, and it is SOOOO EASY to clip in and out of the stroller on the go! I can get the car seat attached to the stroller with 1 hand.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Right out of the box you can tell this is a well thought out infant seat. It has a lot of great safety features and is very easy to use. The steel frame of the seat gives it a bit of weight but I consider it well within reason for an infant seat, and worth it for safety! Installation of the base is a breeze, as the latch clips simply push on to attach and the straps located in the center of the base make it simple to get the base evenly tight. The impact absorbing feature on the base is a wonderful safety addition as well. It is reassuring to know the different parts of this seat are so well thought out, since they are protecting such precious cargo. While safety is always my priority when car seat shopping, one of my favorite features of this seat is that the cover is machine wash and dry safe! With the inevitable spit up and blowouts that happen, this is such a major benefit and will come in very handy! The fabric is extremely soft on baby's skin as well. As far as getting baby in and out of the seat, to loosen the straps you have to stick your finger into a slot at the foot of the seat. I wasn't in love with that design at first (versus having a button of some sort there), but after using it for a while I didn't mind it at all. The chest clip easily glides up and down on the straps for adjustments to get the perfect fit, and remains securely in place once positioned. One other thing to note about this Gen 2 seat is that it is wider in the seat/shoulder area for baby than the prior model. I still felt like baby was very secure and well protected with the added space, and it may provide more comfort as he grows in the coming months. Lastly, the seat easily clicks into my Britax stroller, so we are swiftly on our way into the store during cold weather. Overall I love the safety features of this seat, and it has some wonderful convenience features that make it even better! I would definitely recommend this seat to anybody looking for an infant seat. You can tell the quality is really top notch compared to other brands. It feels sturdy and secure, when tightening baby in I feel like she's going to be safe. It's just enough cushion to be comfy but also safe. It was really easy to install in the car which is a huge plus. We also put it on our Britax running stroller and loved being able to use it for running and outdoor use. This is sleek, but also safe for baby. It's a win win. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've been using this seat for the past few weeks. My newborn is 2 months old and weighs 10 lbs so I had to rethread the harness to the second one from the bottom because the lowest was too low for her shoulders, which was easy to do. There are 4 harness slots and 2 crotch positions for the belt. My favorite feature is how the base only took about 5 minutes to install into my car using the latch system. There are levels on both sides of the base to make sure it's installed correctly. The seat clicks into the base very easily. I like how the car seat looks, it has black neoprene type material for the fabric and it looks very modern. However I do live in TX, so I'm unsure how this fabric will do in the summer heat. The seat is about 1.5 lbs heavier than my previous infant car seat, but since this has a steel frame I don't mind the extra weight. When my husband drives my car, he has to recline more and so the car seat touches the back of the driver's seat and we couldn't easily lift the car seat up without first moving the driver's seat forward. I have to push the button in the back of the car seat, and lift the car seat up perfectly straight to remove. My previous car seat, I could click on the button in the back and it unlocks and I could easily take car seat out, it didn't have to be lifted up first. So I need more space between this car seat and the driver's seat to be able to reach the back button to be able to detach from the base. It has a large canopy which gives good coverage from the sun, but it is very close to the handle. So if you put the handle back and then move it upright to carry, the canopy always catches onto the handle. It is annoying because you have to stop and adjust the shade and move it under the handle each time. This carseat easily clicked into my old Britax B-Agile stroller (from 2013). My baby girl was comfortable in it for her very first walk outside. Overall, I would definitely recommend this seat! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was given this infant seat to try as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel. I currently have a two month old and prior to getting this seat to test, we were using the same infant seat we used for our older daughter which was a Britax B-safe 35 Elite. Overall, I will say that I like this seat. I am a huge fan of Britax products and have used Britax car seats for all of my kids. Here are some things I noticed compared to the other Britax seat we had been using. Cons: The B-safe gen 2 does not have as much padding as the 35 elite. This isn't a huge deal but may be a factor for people who have a tendency to take long trips where baby is in the seat often. It also doesn't have the easy rethreader which allows for growth changes with the click of a button. Instead in order to adjust for height, the straps have to be manually rethreaded through the back of the seat. I will say that this is probably the biggest feature change that I miss from the 35 elite to the gen 2. Another thing I noticed is that Britax says that the gen 2 has a one-handed release system but I find that more often than not, I still have to use two hands in order to release the straps to remove my daughter. As for pros for the gen 2, the seat is more spacious and a lot easier to put baby into than the 35 elite is. I appreciate this a lot as I would always have to loosen the straps and retighten every single time with the 35 elite and I do not have to do this with the gen 2. The install was also incredibly easy using the latch system. I also like that the max weight/height match the 35 elite as my daughter was 9lbs at birth. We are also a tall family so the improved limits for the seat from the first b-safe are a huge plus. We also have a Britax stroller and while we have not yet utilized it with this seat, I would say it is just as easy to use with the stroller as the 35 elite is. Overall, I think this is a really great seat with minimal cons. It is more budget-friendly for those who may not have the extra funds to spend on the higher end seats Britax has to offer while still maintaining the Britax quality I have grown to love. If I were to buy another seat from Britax, I would probably buy another one with the added extras; however, I do plan to use this seat as our main seat for our two-month-old from this point forward.
