Immediately I enjoyed how cushioned it was and came with 2 extra inserts to make the perfect fit for my child. My baby was very comfortable in this car seat and did not fuss or complain when I put him in. I liked how I could customize the fit with all the padding. The sunshade was also a plus as part of it is ventilated which is helpful in hot weather. I didn't feel like my baby would be too hot with the sunshade over him. The handlebar takes some effort to adjust, a lot more finger strength than I initially thought, but I quickly adjusted. It can move from behind baby's head to right above it to on the ground to keep it stable. The install for both the base and seat itself was quick and easy. It did not take me long to figure out. I really liked how light this was, it surprised me because it looks heavy but it is not at all. Even with my baby in it my arm was not sore or tired. It clicks easily into and out of the base which I found convenient. Overall I am very happy with this car seat and would definitely purchase another for our 2nd car.

My overall impression of this car seat is that it is a great option and well worth the investment. Upon installing the carseat in my car, i was immediately impressed with how seamless the instructions were and how intuitive the install was. I have had some experience with other brands and it can be pretty confusing and complex installing the base to the accurate and specific requirements. This was very seamless and the base was extremely secure. When I put my son in the seat, he was very comfortable. I can imagine because the fabric is very soft and lightweight, creating a very comfortable environment and cushion. The weight of the car seat itself is a perk. it is very lightweight, which is important. You are going to be adding in additional weight (baby) and when you do that, bulky and heavy carseats only get heavier. Especially in the postpartum timeframe, lifting the carseat was always a fear. Taking the carseat out of the base and putting it back in was very easy! The lever to remove is easy to locate and easy to function = the best combo when you are on the go! Overall, I would recommend this carseat. The quality is great, the functionality is easy and it can easily grow from Newborn to older ages.

Other features I appreciate: - there is a hidden pocket that can be pulled out of the side (pictured) - the seat is narrow enough to fit three across. (Pictured: My Infiniti QX50 with the Britax infant seat, a Britax convertible seat, and a full-back booster. The base is not pictured but it does fit as well.) - I wanted to try installing it without the base first in case I ever need that feature. I followed the directions in the instruction manual and it worked really well! It didn't slide, even on leather seats. I assume this method would work well if I'm traveling and need to take a ride share. - the lining is fully removable for cleaning -- all of it; not just some of it. It was surprisingly easy to reassemble. - the carrier is lightweight - the quality of materials and construction is higher than standard car seats - there is ample padding to keep a tiny newborn safe, and it's phased so that you can remove pads as your baby grows The only negative I found is that it doesn't have a built in privacy cover like my old carrier. For babies #1 and #2, we had a different brand that had the click in base, and so we knew that was going to be an important feature for the car seat for new baby number three. This car seat is super easy to install and fits with a ton of room in my Hyundai Palisade. The fabric feels extra cozy and like it will be gentler on baby's skin than our previous car seats; though I want to know that the previous fabric never caused a problem... This one just feels nicer. My absolute favorite feature is the single-handed click to change the handlebar position. I did not even know this is a possibility since every other car seat we have used you have to click on both sides; using both hands at the same time. It is so so so super convenient to be able to do this with one hand and not have to put down whatever I'm carrying in the other hand, like groceries, bags, etc. It definitely came in handy when the handlebar was facing up and I already had baby in my arms and wanted to be able to move the bar before set them in the car seat. This infant car seat is also notably lighter than our previous ones, which makes a big difference if you are carrying them across a long parking lot. There were definitely some features that outperform the competition, while there was a con that could be a deal breaker. For reference, I own car seats from 2 highly popular high-end brands. I was really pleased with some of the safety features of the Cypress, such as the anti-rebound bar and SafeCell technology that help reduce movement and absorb impact during a crash, which is not found in my other high-end car seats. The one-handed handlebar adjustment is a game-changer (hate that I have to use 2 hands for my other carseats) and peek-a-boo window on the back of the canopy are very convenient. It was easy to install the base using the ClickTight System and adjustable recline options. The car seat is light, weighing just under 10lbs, but on par with one of my other car seats, and the fabric is soft and plush. The only downside is it does not have a no-rethread harness. Overall, the Britax Cypress Car Seat is a high-quality and safe option for parents looking for a high-end car seat.

Ample cushioning provides your little one with a soft, yet secure, ride. My favorite feature: the ClickTight base installation- this is amazingly simple to install! The safety features on this seat are top-notch, and yet it remains lightweight! The single-handed handle repositioning lever made adjustments a breeze. Cons: The car seat itself is bulky front to back and required the front seat in our vehicles to be quite a bit more forward than our lightweight car seat of another brand. It would be nice if the fabrics were easier to remove for cleaning; it's a bit of maneuvering to get them on/off. The canopy keep slipping off the back when I would extend it forward, it is held in place by elastic only. It is NOT compatible with Britax B Agile strollers even using an adapter unfortunately. As a mom of 2, ease of getting in and out of the car is very important to me- this car seat and base definitely make that easy if you have a vehicle large enough (enough leg room between front and back seat) to accommodate it. It is fairly lightweight, which was great for my wife, especially as our son is growing. The blue was a really pleasant color and the shape of the seat is a bit more rectangular at the top (as opposed to more rounded seats) so our little guy had more space to relax. We also really liked the canopy as it has a mesh panel, allowing for more breathability, and had good coverage to keep our little guy out of the sun. The straps were easy to adjust and secure. The installation of the base was a bit tricker than we had anticipated, but once it was set up in the car it was great! We received this product as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel.
