Britax Cypress Infant Car Seat with Alpine Base, Ponte Stone

It felt like a very high end car seat because of the design and fabrics and it was so easy to carry because it is very lightweight! Certainly my favorite feature! This is so important for me because I have a little guy who's on the 75% growth curve so anything that makes him easier to carry the better! I also have a 2.5 year old so we are carrying quite a bit whenever we go anywhere! It was also easy to carry around when running errands and going places, which we always are! I really liked how clear the base install directions were and that they were right on the base!!! It made it so easy to quickly get everything in the right place and it was a secure fit. Love the clicktight mechanism! It fit great in my SUV and left plenty of room for me to move my seat back if I needed. The car seat easily clicks into the base. It can get hung up on the hooks near the seat when removing it but that might just be user error on my end! I love the breathability of the visor. I wasn't worry about overheating in the summer with the mesh being that can be opened up to. My little guy was comfortable and happy whenever he was riding in the car seat!

One of my favorite features on this car seat is the mesh panel on the canopy. I live in a very hot climate so this is a game changer for me. I also really like that the top head support can stay in after the kid reaches 11 pounds. In other car seats, I've noticed once you take the infant support out when head still kind of rattles in the car seat. This extra support makes me feel more comfortable with in little one in in. I installed this car seat without a base to see how secure it would be into my surprise. This car seat was very snug and secure. I often travel with an infant car seat, so being able to put this in the car and out of the car without a base is huge. The manual for the car seat was also super easy to understand. This car seat has been absolutely perfect for my little one and has a ton of super cool features for safety and comfort. One huge plus of this car seat is how light weight it is. Carrying it to and from the car is a breeze. The base stays in place and I can just pop my baby in and we're ready to go. The fabric of this car seat is super soft and flame retardant which is awesome. It also has three extra papped seats inserts to keep my kid comfy on the go! The fabric is machine washable and the seat itself comes with a canopy that is UPF 50+! This models fits into certain stroller models making it even more useful! If your baby is sleeping you can leave them comfortable and take them where you need to go! My baby seems super comfortable and safe in this car seat! Very happy with this car seat!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been testing out the Britax car seat for a few weeks now. I was really amazed by the quality of the car seat upon first impression. It is both stylish and modern and the material feels lux. The fabric is very soft, the straps are easy to maneuver, and the buckles click into place easily. The car seat was a little heavy for me to carry, however, it's not an issue since we always keep it in our car. My husband was able to install the base and seat within minutes and remarked how simple it was compared to other car seats we have used in the past. Most importantly, our baby loved the Britax car seat. Our baby hated her old car seat and would always cry whenever we would put her in it. She immediately stopped crying as soon as we made the change to the Britax car seat. She even falls asleep on our drives now! Starting with the rebound bar, it is an excellent safety feature to have, I much prefer it over having a load leg. The install is quite easy with the base. The click tight installation is quite easy and feels very secure. Getting the seat in and out of the base at first was a bit tricky because it is different than what I am used to. The seat is a decent weight and easily able to be carried. The fabric feels very premium, it is soft and smooth. It looks really nice. I love that the fabric is naturally flame-retardant and has no added FR chemicals. Babies have sensitive skin and this is one less thing to worry about. The two other features that deserve a mention on the little sunshade attached to the canopy and the peekaboo window.

I received it in a stylish color that I love. The seat also comes with multiple sizes of inserts, which is a great feature, although my baby didn't need them at 4 months old. This will definitely come in handy for future little ones. I also appreciate the mesh window, which lets me peek in on my baby, and the quiet magnetic closure on the flap—such a thoughtful touch. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] First and foremost: Britax goes above and beyond for safety. They use steel in the car seat frame (most manufacturers use plastic). Other features I appreciate: - there is a hidden pocket that can be pulled out of the side (pictured) - the seat is narrow enough to fit three across. (Pictured: My Infiniti QX50 with the Britax infant seat, a Britax convertible seat, and a full-back booster. The base is not pictured but it does fit as well.) - I wanted to try installing it without the base first in case I ever need that feature. I followed the directions in the instruction manual and it worked really well! It didn't slide, even on leather seats. I assume this method would work well if I'm traveling and need to take a ride share. - the lining is fully removable for cleaning -- all of it; not just some of it. It was surprisingly easy to reassemble. - the carrier is lightweight - the quality of materials and construction is higher than standard car seats - there is ample padding to keep a tiny newborn safe, and it's phased so that you can remove pads as your baby grows The only negative I found is that it doesn't have a built in privacy cover like my old carrier. My infant was already above the weight limit for the infant inserts and we tested without it. Pros: - This seats fits in my 3 across set up (VW Atlas)! This is one of the highest priorities for me in choosing a seat and it works perfectly. - The base install was dreamy! I LOVED the functionality of mechanism to get a tight fit. It really makes moving it in and out of different vehicles a breeze and really foolproof. - The seat is really comfortable. My infant didn't cry at all when sitting in it (something he does in other seats. He's above 11 lbs, so we didn't use the infant pillows, but the additional support of the head pillow works really well. I appreciate that I'm able to remove it too as my baby gets bigger. If baby follows the same growth curves as my other children who were chunky babies, I hope this means we'll be able to use the seat longer than they were able to. Without the head pillow, the seat is very spacious. - It is very light. I love the aluminum framework for this seat. Not only is it visually appealing (something different from the standard), but it is noticeably lighter to cart around. - The shade is simple and adequate. I appreciate that the functionality really works for this shade. The flap to open for ventilation stays put, even in windy situations, which means you're not going to constantly fight that on walks. The additional visor that flips down over the baby is an improvement to help keep the sun out of baby's eyes without adding bulk. I think it's also impossible to overheat baby if you're using exactly this set up (not adding any other items, like a blanket). So if a grandparent has to take the child or someone else who isn't hyper aware, this is going to be really great assurance that your baby is safe even when baby isn't with you. Cons: - The shoulder belt position must be rethreaded as the child grows. Others don't require the child to be completely removed to adjust, so make sure you plan ahead to move it so it's not something you have to do when baby is cranky or you're on a time crunch - The crotch buckle seems a bit bulky. Maybe usage would help break it in or practice. I'm testing this in the summer with no pants on baby and I wonder if it would be an issue in the winter. - The shade doesn't pull that far down. This may not be a big issue unless if you want more privacy or shade. I've listed the pros of this shade above.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was given this infant car seat to try as a part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel. The one handed carry handle adjustment is by far the best! I don't know how many times I leave the handle fully upright to move around then need to set my daughter down to move it back. Thanks to this seat, that's no longer an issue. The material is extremely soft and washable and it looks sleek too. The canopy is really nice material and covers nicely with the added canopy window. Instructions are posted right on the side of the seat and base for an easy read. The base snaps in to the backseat very easily with the click tight feature and makes it easy to transfer to other vehicles if needed. This is a great seat infants of all sizes and weights with the added inserts. A few things I didn't like included the head support cushion doesn't stay in place when you have straps up higher for larger babies and the seat feels wobbly in the base connection but neither affect the actual function. Overall, I love love love this seat.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this infant car seat from the Stellar Product Testing Panel. I have 9 month old twins, so was able to test it with two different babies. My son loves his car seat and doesn't fuss in the car, my daughter usually does. I could tell it was a comfortable seat as neither baby objected to being in it, and had a normal reaction to being put in the seat! I love the color of the fabric and the overall design. It would certainly hide any formula spit up with the color. The sunshade was designed nicely, and I liked the holder for the manual. Unfortunately, I didn't find this as easy to install as comparable car seats. I did not really like the pins attached to a belt, and took me quite a while to figure out installation because it isn't super clear in the manual. It is on the seat base, but even once you figure it out, it can be a bit challenging to tighten the pins to secure it. I would much prefer to have a leg that comes down to help anchor. I liked the lightweight design, and it was easy to carry with a baby in it. It was slightly tricky getting it out of the base at first. I also liked the two different sets of infant inserts, especially as my twins were preemies, and it would have been useful to have an additional infant insert instead of having to use burp cloths! Overall, I liked the seat, aside from the base installation, and both twins seemed comfortable in it!
