Broil King Crown S 490 Propane Gas Grill

Everything we hoped it would be. Sears steaks perfectly. Can cook like charcoal indirect heat by turning off one side. Haven't used the rotisserie yet, but should work fine. Lights immediately. The one down side is the assembly time. It took my wife and I 2 and 1/2 hours to assemble. Would be much easier if there were written instructions to go along with the pictures. I'm not a visualizer and I'm sure a lot of other people aren't either. I'm not downgrading the grill because of the assembly time because it has nothing to do with the performance.

We are very happy with our new Broil King Crown BBQ. Whether we are entertaining ourselves, family, friends or the local Fire Dept, the Crown meets every size group. We love the rotisserie option. Our mealtime creations are definitely enhanced with our new BBQ.

I was replacing a 10 year old Webber grill and saw the broil king Crown 440 on store display and decided to try it. I have had this for about a year and I think its a great grill. Very good design and great build quality. I have fired this grill up in the middle of winter in 5 degrees and it in about ten minutes it was ready to go and heated up. Always starts up on the first push of igniter button. Originally after assembly the igniter was bad from the factory. I made a call to the warranty number and they shipped me a new igniter immediately. Since then it has worked flawlessly. Always had Webber but this Broil King is definitely not disappointed me in any way. Lets see how it does in the long run but from what I have experienced with grilling at least three times a week sometimes more this will be great grill.

The Broil King Crown cooks with very even heat,making it very easy to cook steaks or any other food to the desired level

Great grill, the heat controls are amazing, and heats up in no time... Even Heat without flare-ups...

I bought this over 2 months ago and use it almost every day . I highly recommend this to everyone . It is easy to use and cooks everything perfectly . It is easy to use and works great .

heats up quick and holds temperature well.. good size cooking surface and love the grill itself. only thing is, we didn't have time to install a natural gas line and we were told that there is no conversion kit for it

Highly disappointed in Broil King, because the instructions that came with the product was NOT COMPLETE! Especially when it came to wiring up the electric start button for the burners. It was like none of the correct schematic was listed anywhere in the instructions. I'm hoping I got it right for my gathering or I will have to play it by ear. I've bought several of these grills and this is a first!!!

We bought the Crown 310 over a year ago. It is the natural gas connected version from Broil King. Both my wife and I are retired and so most of my grilling is for just the 2 of us and the size of the bbq is about right. I grill probably 2 or 3 times a month all year depending upon occasions and dinner preferences. For personal use it is great. I have made some adjustments to the 310. I have filled in the hole/well in the bottom of the cabinet (propane tank) and have added a bar under the shelf for hanging bbq tools. The workmanship on the unit is solid and my only criticism is that there is only 1 set of swivel casters (2 would make it easier to maneuver on my deck).

The insturction book was not written by an English speaking person. Hard to follow,not clear instructions and did not tell you that both natural gas and propane instructions were combined together. It asked for parts that were not included. After a trip back to the store I was informed of this. Also parts were missing. After I finished with the assembly the steel grills did not sit evenly. the one does not sit flat and moves when food is placed on it. The store would not do anything for me. Ths grills even though I coated them with vegable oil, soon started to rust. Tje BBQ itself is nice, just very poor manufacturing. Does not cook evenly on all parts of the grill, burns at the front of the grill
