I read Linus Pauling's books on vitamin c many years ago and since then have taken 12 grams of it daily- even more on the few occasions I pick up something from my students. I love how easily this dissolves in water. I mix it with Bronson's regular ascorbic acid to balance the taste a bit but you don't have to. Also love that it's non-GMO!

Great form of vitamin C with no fillers! If you're not on a restricted sodium diet, sodium ascorbate is a form you can take without the sourness of ascorbic acid. Want to get rid of the chlorine taste of municipal (city) water? Put a tiny pinch of vitamin C in a glass of water to INSTANTLY remove that chlorine flavor!

I have followed Linus Pauling's recommendation of large vitamin C intake since the early 1990s. I take an average of 7 grams per day, increasing to 30+ grams during flus (extremely effective against flus/colds). Sodium ascorbate crystals are easily dissolved in water, making them easier to take than the pill form.

I've been using the 50/50 VitC / Sodium Ascorbate powder in my water bottle, but experiencing a lot of gas. So I switched to just the Sodium Ascorbate to see if the gas/flatulence subsides. The product is fine, it's just that it tastes like drinking from a water softener. But flatulence has reduced. I have some of the regular VitC powder to put in to help with the taste, but the flatulence comes back. So I dunno.

How can I know, without a chemistry lab, the quality of this product? It is a white powder, and I hope it is 99+ percent sodium ascorbate, but I have to trust you for that.
