This is a very nice sewing machine!! However it was way too complicated for me. I am a mid range sewster:) Maybe when i get a little more knowledge under my belt then i will try for it again. Will purchase again in the distant future. It is a bit pricey however but if you have a business this machine would be top pick. I Always go with brother it hasn't failed me yet.

It took a few hours of using the 2340CV cover stitch machine to understand how it works. I am so glad I bought it. Now I can do real hem seams in my stretch garments instead always a zigzag stitch. My hems look professional. However, I have trouble removing my garment from under the presser foot. It doesn't want to let it go. I went to YouTube for help. I found one that works for me.

I would totally recommend this machine to anyone considering purchasing a cover stitch machine. Since I don't like changing thread colors in my regular sewing machine I knew I couldn't deal with a serger/cover stitch all in one machine. I decided to buy the Brother 1034D Serger and the 2340 CoverStitch. GREAT DECISION-I Love both. The stretch ability of the cover stitch is absolutely better than using a double-needle on a regular sewing machine.

I read many reviews before purchasing this machine. I do a good deal of sewing clothing, as well as home decoration. I have a sewing machine and serger, so I never thought about a cover stitch machine. That is, until I saw a video demonstration of this machine in action. I love stretch knit clothing, and this gives a professional finish with no worry of popped hems. I have not had any issues with removing fabric from the machine or threading. Just watch some videos. There are plenty of them. One last mention, I am really glad I chose a separate cover stitch machine so I can go from serger to cover stitch without rethreading.

Adequate for the price. Stitch setting are ready, threading fairly easy, but removing the fabric from the machine is difficult, needs improvement. Had to go online to get some tips for removal as the manual did not fit explain. Would probably go to a higher end model if I were to purchase again.

this gift was showing delivery was set for 7pm. it showed up at 5pm ruining the surprise. then took an around to reflect the time it was actually sent. if the tracking was accurate it wouldn't have messed up my surprise attempt. this on UPS.

Worst machine ever, it makes me cry on a regular basis. I desperately wish I had returned it when I could have, but I stupidly thought I was the problem and just needed to learn. Ive watched all the videos and read all the articles and even joined a facebook group specifically for owners of this machine where many of them are just as miserable as I am. I just spent 2 hours trying to hem the sleeves on a tshirt. Just the sleeves. I managed to get one done, but this machine chewed holes in the other one so now im deciding if I will have a shirt with holes or remove the sleeve and cut a new one. This is the single most expensive thing I've ever bought myseld and its garbage. I cant get my money back and I don't know what to do with it so I keep trying to to use it and keep suffering through hours of fighting with it and rethreading over and over when I could hem stuff by hand faster and easier.

horrible experience. one rep stated order was late due to accident driver had, 2 days later was told it just had not been shipped. support did not exist really

I've had this machine for about 2.5 years now and it has behaved badly almost every time I use it. Stitches are uneven in a very unpredictable way. At best, it will do a sloppy job of stitching. At worst it will destroy the fabric and not even accomplish the stitching while doing that. I'm not an inexperienced sewer (been doing it for 45 years). This is the most unreliable machine I've ever owned. The very crude manual does not include any trouble-shooting advice. I can't even sell it - my conscience won't let me do that to some unsuspecting stranger.
