I like this new printer. My old Brother printer still works but I needed air print. This printer is quick and I love the double sided printing and being able to print from my IPad. Only thing I wish Brother would do is keep the older larger display screen.
Needed a new printer, bought a Canon as I always do but it was absolute trash...returned it and bought this Brothers. Bit nasty to set up but works well, copies colours sort of close read exact. PLUS too many ink cartridges. Only have had it for 2 weeks but not real happy . However it is a machine, not flimsy nor weak, seems very well built. Will work with it more ...looking for photo paper section..have yet find.
It was impossible for me to set up. There was various technical steps that were not covered in instruction. Further I was informed that this model of Brother was made and only available ( supposedly) in Canada. The toll free customer service said they could not help on this model and I'd have to call Canada. Brother rep said she ‘d recommend returning this printer and get an American model if I want to get support.
I've had this printer for a few years and I do not do alot of printing. When I do use it I am always having all sorts of issues with it, if not one thing it's another, it's junk. I do not recommend it and I will never buy another Brother product.
Absolutely TERRIBLE product - there is a reason it has such poor reviews. The printer does not maintain a wi-fi connection and Brothers' support team does nothing but quite literally copy and paste help forum details to you. I've wasted hours troubleshooting this printer, and have only tried using it twice - let that sink in, HOURS spent troubleshooting a machine I've turned on TWICE. Invest your time and money elsewhere, I have already set up the return of this trash Brother calls a printer.
The printer was working beautifully then suddenly it mskes the sound of printing but its not and all cartridges are full
Good price and works fine - WHEN IT WORKS, which is seldom. The printer won't work if it thinks an ink cartridge is low. And, for some reason, it almost always thinks that the yellow cartridge is low. This is despite the fact that I have replaced that cartridge (with genuine Brother cartridges) 5 times (the B,C,M are still on their 2nd cartridge) - and I rarely print in color! I can't print any B&W documents (99%) of my work, because the printer won't do anything until it thinks that the Y is replaced. I also hate the Brother website. It keeps asking me to register, even though I did as soon as I bought the printer.
I use this printer at home. Don't do a huge volume of printing- maybe 10 to 20 pages a week. Have owned it for 2 years now. Print quality is good but: 1) Ink is very expensive 2) very frustrating on the amount of ink it uses. For example when it says " Black - 60 pages remaining" Then after printing 10 pages it will no longer print as the Black cartridge is out of ink. So you must replace the cartridge even though you can see ink through the cartridge window. So throw anothe $100 plus dollars at it and order another set of cartridges 3) sorry I wasted my money on it. I will NEVER buy a Brother printer again
have spent hours in just setup. Unpacked the ink, inserted it as per the instructions, and received an error message that the black ink will not install. just to double check, I watched a YouTube video of the print install. I did as per the youtube, as per the instruction manual, as per common sense of just inserting the ink until it clicks, closing the ink cartridge cover, and nothing. A vicious loop of asking to reinstall ink, inserting the cartridge, closing the cover, only for the printer to ask to insert the cartridge again.
Although it does a great job when working, it goes offline repeatedly and it just won't connect with my phone. Sometimes it works, most times it won't. Real piece of garbage
