Brother Business Smart Plus MFC-J5930DW Color Inkjet All-in-One Printer Series

I absolutely love this printer, the duplex printing feature is my favorite time saver.

Have had for about 2 weeks. Works great.

This is the first All-in-One multi-function unit I have used. In the past I have been using separate Printer, FAX and Scanners. After equipment failures it was time to replace my stuff. So I thought I would try my luck with an AIO type unit. I must admit I was pleasantly surprised. Everything has worked flawlessly the first time/every time. Print quality is excellent. The scanner makes near original quality copies. The FAX works great as well. Setup and installation went OK too. I have my unit connected via WiFi. My network discovered the printer quickly and confirmed the connection without a hitch. It goes to sleep when not actively in use. But, it wakes up instantly when a job is sent to it. Another nice touch occurs when firmware needs to be upgraded. It notifies you on the front panel via the Internet. These notifications are received via my network through the WiFi or Ethernet connection. Also, I am amazed at the level of support I am receiving from Brother. After I registered my unit I now get tips on how to better use this product. I feel like I have a BROTHER Tech person in my building with me. You can't beat this kind of support. Do I sound impressed with my purchase? Absolutely, and I highly recommend this product and company.

Love this new Brother printer! The print quality is sharp, quick, and quiet! The photos I print are about the same quality as my local drugstore, and perfect for printing memories for the fridge or friends. The one pass duplex scanning is so fast compared to my last printer! I like the idea of the super high yield ink as well. Set up is a bit cumbersome if your are doing the whole 9 yards like I did. But I have scan to different folders on the network set up with shortcut keys, scan to email for multiple email addresses, color pdf, black pdf, & full color jpg's settings that scan to specific places with specific names, cloud printing/scanning, etc. I bought this model instead of the 6935 bc I didn't need ledger sized scanning, and it is MUCH smaller than the 6935. Actually, I bought that one first and could hardly get it out of the box because of the size! The 5930 still does duplex scanning (one pass), duplex printing, has the ADF, multipurpose tray, and uses the Super High Capacity ink cartridges LC3029. It scans up to legal size, but prints up to ledger size. I have had many HP OfficeJets before, which are good printers. However, this Brother is much quieter, has two paper trays and a multipurpose tray, and prints a much better picture. I will say that the multipurpose tray is difficult with photo paper, it sticks together a little from the pressure of the paper holder...but Tray 1 handles 4 x 6 photo paper with no issues at all! Overall an excellent printer; I am very pleased with my switch to the Brother MFC-J5930DW! I think it works well for a home office, but would also be perfect in a small office environment -- with the ability to set up multiple scan to network folders and multiple scan to email accounts. I think it also has metered printing (where you assign codes to each person/dept), but my home office doesn't need that.

Our new Brother printer warms great! We can print from our printer and phones remotely and the print quality is awesome. An excellent Pinter at an affordable price. 5 Star rating.

I'm very pleased with the printer so far, easy to set up and operate, the scan and copy features are handy to use, and it should be very economical to operate. It is too soon to tell about the longevity of the printer, if it does not hold up then my five star rating would become a one star rating.

I have run my own small business since 1991 and owned HP inkjet printers that have lasted about three years each. I have been using the Brother eMFC-J5930DW since July 2017 and also subscribe to automatic ink cartridge replacements. This printer simply continues to run and run and run. This is the best inkjet printer I have ever owned and have recommended Brother inkjet printers to many people.

This printer is very solid and the print is perfect. I setup mine as a network printer directly connected to the router. There is no description of the process of doing this in any of the guides/manuals that come with the printer. Also it took some trial and error to get envelops to print from Word on a Mac.

I have had the printer for about 2 months and use if for home printing. The two best things I like about it are that it's quiet and it goes in sleep mode when not in use. I have printed, copied and scanned documents and everything worked as it should.

I've had the printer for several months and have discover one significant problem. Everytime I want to use the manual paper feature (back of machine) to print on a glossy photographic paper, the machine jams. I've tried everything and it still does not work seamlessly. Fortunately, I can put the paper in tray 1 and successfully print the photo.
