Brother CADXMATF12 ScanNCut DX Fabric Mat

I'm a very very beginner with a cutting machine and this is my experience. This rotary blade did a very good job of cutting fabric, it even cut thicker pieces of wool. The cuts on the wool weren't perfect, I needed to trim a few spots but I expected that. When I tried to cut wool with the regular blade the machine made 3 or 4 passes over the design to get it cut. The rotary blade did 1 pass and it was cut.

For cutting fabric this is the blade to use! It does take a little more time but it is worth it!

Great addition to my Brother ScanNCut. Works perfectly on lighter fabrics for clean cuts.

Did what it was advertised that it would do

This is not a genuine Brother Scan n Cut mat. My machine rejected it unable to identify the mat. Bought another mat at Target and it works. The only difference in the packaging is one says genuine and the other doesn't.

Purchased DX325 for quilting. Very disappointed with fabric mat, blade longevity and replacement costs. Worked great when new but stickiness doesn't last long, cotton fibers stick to mat rendering mat useless and ruined fabric as blades destroy fabric that isn't secured due to lack of stickiness or dull blade. Brother should offer customers some sort of annual deal on mats and blades as costs are exorbitant and it would help with better reviews. If I knew about these issues and costly replacement items I would have not purchased this product.

I do not like the mats, one they cost too much and two my machine saids it does not regconize it. I got tired to trying to figure it out I do not like this machine I'm sending it back.
