Brother CE1150 110-Stitch Computerized Sewing Machine with Auto Needle Threader, LCD Display & Wide Range of Stitches

Because Brothers sewing machine have videos on how you use the machine. That said alot about this company. The others that I have tried does not have any videos only paper instructions. I am novel in sawing so exciting to learn how to sewbwith brother sewing machine

I travel with this machine. I love that it's lightweight yet will do quilting. It was a little bit challenging for me, as this is the first sewing machine I've purchased in 20 years. A lot has changed since I purchased my Bernina in 1984. The instruction book was a little confusing on how to wind bobbins and then the threading. The pictures could be a little more helpful, as they are not exactly clear on the thread direction when winding the bobbin and threading the machine.

I had a basic singer that I didn't even touch It seemed so daunting! Okay yes I was a lot younger and the internet was not filled with as much information on sewing as it is now. .but this machine was exciting straight out the box! From the cute pink accents to the array of stitches! Set up is reasonable with the quick start guide although as a beginner there was some research needed as there is more info on the machine on the brother website. Please do read the operator manual! It has a ton of knowledge you'd otherwise buy in a sewing book. I have been unable to stop exploring all this machine has to offer. The pedal is a huge plus, it feels sort of like a gas pedal, intuitive. My cons are this does not have a physical loop handle? It has a hole at the top back you insert your fingers, it is not as ergonomic for carrying. The lcd display could be brighter. There is some issues in thicker layers, but I purchased a walking foot on Amazon and now it goes through low loft quits like butter, the seams however still need some tough love and manual finangling. As a beginner I 100% am satisfied with spending the little bit extra for the little perks in this machine.

I ordered this machine per a friend's recommendation and am very please with it's quality and performance. Delivery was excellent and have had no problems.

It had been a while since my sewing days so I ad to study the instruction manual a couple of times to completely understand it all. Once I studied it well enough, it was easy to use.

Overall a good replacement for my old Brother sewing machine that finally froze up after many, many years. This is a good mid-level sewing machine, with a nice variety of stitch styles and features. I will say that I'm NOT impressed with the needle threader. It's not as easy to use as the one I had on my previous sewing machine, which had a spring-loaded needle threader. This one is completely manual and I find myself having to try over and over again to get the needle threaded. (It's actually faster for me to just push the thread through myself, and I'm almost 70 years old.) I hope that Brother will go back to having the spring-loaded threader, as it was a very nice feature and simple to use.

The brother is a good machine, but it just wasn't right for the material that I was using which is denim so I returned it and purchased a heavy duty singer which I'm much happier with. The brother is a good machine for a beginner and I would recommend a beginner use this machine. It has a lot of stitches that are available, but it just wasn't a good machine for denim.

Bought the item full-priced and was given a half-used product. Product was dirty and needle felt reused. Definitely felt as tho I was bamboozled into thinking I was receiving a good product but was sadly mistaken.

well started of just fine,i had 11 skirts to make and for no reason it just was braking the needle thread, over and over so i just couldn't keep it. i did everything change thread, anything you think of i did a n d nothing was helping . so i returned it. and bought a different one, i finished all the skirts.
