Brother Embroidery Machine, PE535, 80 Built-in Designs, 9 Font Styles, 4" x 4" Embroidery Area, 3.2in LCD Touchscreen, USB

I have been sewing for 50 years and have looked into embroidery machines several times but was hesitant to purchase. I wasn't sure I would get enough use to justify the purchase. But I took the leap and bought this machine. I'm delighted with it! I took my time to thoroughly read the instructions and watch videos to learn the machine. It is easy to use and well made. I look forward to many projects in the future.

This was a gift to me and I am already hooked. I found it very easy to use and thread. The biggest design is 4x4”. I have downloaded designs to use with a usb stick. Simple. By my second design I got a better understanding of the screen. I did read the pamphlet that came with the machine but felt they were a little confusing at first. I watched a few YouTube videos that helped a lot. I do recommend using a better embroidery thread.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Before purchasing this machine you should know two important things. First off this machine is an embroidery only machine-not a sewing machine. Second, it embroiders 4"x4" at a time. It's perfect for small logos, personalised polo shirts, onesies, hats, stockings, cloth napkins, etc. With that said, it was PERFECT for me. Having zero experience in embroidery I was looking for something simple to start personalizing my kids things for the holidays and give myelf a hobby. I was able to use this relatively easy and without buying a ton of supplies. In fact, it came with an accessory kit that included almost everything you will need(even the hoop and scissors!). You will want to purchase various colors of embroidery thread and stabilizer and find items to practice on to get started. I felt confident knowing Brother was there to back me up with their amazing techical support and info online as well as a warranty on my machine. I was able to watch embroidery videos online while waiting for this to arrive, and just dove in right away! Theres endless possibilities with being able to upload designs, but also comes preloaded with plenty to get you started. Im even thinking about blogging about some experiences and crafts. I successfully found myself a new hobby; and my kids love it. I would definitely recommend this to a friend.

I purchased my machine six months ago and have truly enjoyed it. It's a fantastic beginner machine and I often recommend it to people who want to put their foot in and learn to embroider. I have found that ALL my brother machines are very user friendly.

I have always been a lover of Brother products and used to own the older version of this machine. This is incredibly user friendly and anyone can operate this little machine. This machine is great for all kinds of small embroidery projects, and there are several computer programs available that are compatible with this machine. Making it easy to create anything you could imagine.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Sewing has always been my hobby and apart from the regular stitching, I always wanted to have a specialized embroidery machine which I can use to give some personalized gifts for my family. Plz note that this is not a dual purpose machine - sewing as well as embroidery and hence one shouldn't feel dis-appointed. So what i have loved about the machine PE535: 1. The LCD screen is large enough to view your design and for me, bigger the better. It gives better perspective of your output. 2. The booklet which comes with the product is quite detailed and one has to read it from start to finish to make the best use of the machine. 3. It also gives you the feature to download the design also but I am yet to use the same. 4. I started with some basic designs and pretty happy with the results. Only thing to be taken care of is to use good quality threads otherwise results won't meet the expectations. 5. The machine is not heavy and easy to handle. What needs improvement: 1. I would have loved if they could have given a starter kit with the machine. It comes bare and one has to rush to order the supplies to make the first use. 2. A DVD would have been great on how to set up the machine. i could figure out after some tries. Overall, a good embroidery machine which works on expected lines. the more you use, the more you will end up with beautiful designs and making the best use of product. Would recommend for sure.

it doesn't come with many designs...it may be going back...not like i thought it was and don't know where i can get any where I don't have to pay.. should be included for the price we pay...

It is extremely difficult to find good inexpensive 90wt thread whether in spools or on prewound bobbins. If I cannot find some soon will return the machine. Not worth the time and aggravation trying to find thread.
