After being told that the generic inks for my Brother printer were just as good as the Brother inks I decided to give them a try and save a few bucks. I didn't save anything. The generic inks were terrible. Halfway through they started missing so I had to continuously clean the print heads. Wasted a lot of expensive photo paper. By repeatedly having to clean the heads I wasted more ink then I actually needed for what I was printing. Went back to using the Brother inks as it says in the manual and I have not had to clean the print heads even once. The images come out perfect and my stress level went down. Stick with brother inks. The machine I use is MFC-J6710DW.
Walmart is the better place for me to purchase replacement printer cartridges.
Learned the hard way to stick to Brother inks, the generics just don't work in my MFC.
low price
We bought our 11 x 17 printer from Staples. My hubby bought an extra ink cartridge from them at time of purchase for WAY too much money. I was glad we found this source for replacement cartridges at such a reasonable price and delivered right to our door! I work from home and print building plans to send to my clients. I go through a lot of black and color ink and this product does the job. I am happy with the results and will continue to order my ink from Walmart.
I found this to be the lowest best price for OEM Brother ink jet cartridges. The other two major office supply retailers in the US want $45.99 & $32.19 for this exact same cartridge. The Brother OEM cartridges Walmart sells are great and we always get the best price by buying online for the in-store pick up.
My Brother MFC-J6510DW printer uses LC75 series of cartridges. The optional LC79 cartridge outlasted the 75 by 4 times. Blacks are crisp and sharp, and dries quickly. Any one who counts the number of pages printed by a cartridge, should know, page counts are estimates based on a percentage of coverage of the page. Any reasonable person knows printing an all black picture will rapidly kill a cartridge versus a text only print out. That said, using this genuine manufacturer cartridge has never let me down.
Walmart provides great value for printer ink that runs like water
The product works fine but the WalMart website mistakenly identified it as a 3-pack, which it isn't. I thought it sounded too good to be true.
For a High-Yield Ink that's supposed to have a 2,400 Page Yield, this cartridge ran out after less than 1,500 pages. I'd say that 2,400 would be considered quite a bit of hyperbole on Brother's part, as this printer is Brand NEW (less than 6 months old) and this is now our third cartridge replacement, and NONE of them have gone over 1,500 pages, with the second cartridge dying after only 1,000 pages. We are not printing heavy graphics or even high end prints, just mostly business forms and in normal or draft mode. How these cartridges are running out so fast is a mystery...
