I love the price of this printer, laser copies are crisp and clear. I have had multi-function printers before but this one is very easy to use. It was easy to set up for wireless device printing and works exactly as described. I would definitely recommend.
This is one GREAT printer. Easy to set up. And toner, as opposed to expensive ink that lasts no time at all! Beautiful, sharp, fast, quiet. Everything you could desire in a printer. I can even by some color toner cartridges and it prints in color! :)
I purchased this printer because i bought a new computer and i also wanted to be able to print from my phone. It works Great! Glad i made this purchase! My sister owns this one and recommended it to me
I just love this Product prints great from either scanning Copy or. strait from the computer It's Fast and easy access to scanning I would highly recommend this printer to any one for home or small office who only want all black printing
Best printer for home use. Connects easily using WIFI, don't need to open app and reconnect every time. printing from phone, tablet, computer is super easy and doesn't need an app to print. quality is awesome, its fast, its not too loud.
I had this exact model that froze in the deep freeze (it was in my garage office). I bought it again because I liked it so much and the ease of setup.
I bought this to replace my Brother HL-1850. This one offered copy and scan features not provided by 1850. Goods: Copy and scan features and the ability to do a lot of personal preferences with these features. Small compact unit. Unlimited Brother tech support is great. You are dead in the water without it. Have not tried the wi-fi function or the fax functions and don't expect to. All necessary manuals are online. Bads: Print density, while it can be adjusted, is not on par with the 1850 and is too light. Brother tech support said the the internal font it comes with is it and can't be adjusted. To get any type of print density and darkness require you max out the use of the toner. Not good as the toner only allows for 2,600 pages (if you have the TN 660 high yield toner). The 1850 allowed for over 5,700 pages. Toner capacity should be more. In general Brother has cut production costs by making the model in a much cheaper fashion than the 1850. It weights about 1/4 the weight of the 1850. Overall: It's ok given the ability to scan and to copy. I add that you can scan to editable platforms if you want. And you can direct a scan to a particular place on your PC, i.e., a flash drive.
I have had this machine for less than 3 months and have had issues with the scanning. Sometimes it will not scan. When it does scan the quality is terrible. It will cut the scan and the image is not good. I have asked to return it and was denied this request. I am most disappointed with Brother. It is defective and I should be entitled to return the product.
I bought this printer, and it was delivered 3 days ago. The printer itself is very good, but the support is terrible. I got it installed and setup on my home network, it prints fine from our iPads and computers. When it came time to setup the scanner, I was having trouble so I phoned the support number in the manual. What a disappointment. They would not give me any help whatsoever unless I paid more money for a contract! Not even 1 initial call for the setup of a new product! I was shocked! I was told unless I purchased more drivers I could not scan from my computer. I didn't believe them so I hung up and after much research found I was able to download an app for my pc that allows me to scan from my computer. If it was not for the fact that the printer does do the job I want and it would be a royal pain to return, I will keep it. But I would not recommend it for those reasons.
This printer refuses to remain connected to my wireless network!! I am constantly having to type in my very long WiFi password using their archaic method of up and down arrows after each and every print job. If you're looking for a reliable wireless printer, DO NOT buy this one!!
