This is a great printer for small business! It has been a big help with my marketing and day to day operations!
Very happy with this printer. Good value and quality printing.
happy i decided on this machine. it is meeting my exact needs
I'm not sure why Brother is going backwards in their product offering. Let me run down the positives, then the negatives. 1) Their support is better now than in the past. 2) They used to make a really nice machine that I owned for almost 10 years. It could print 11x17 scan double sided, print double sided and had all the functions they sell today but cheaper. This machine was the only one I could find that was close but won't print 11x17 but does double sided scanning. 3) The "tank" is not really a tank. It's just a bigger cartridge which is odd, maybe marking ploy to meet Epson which looks like a real tank! 4) The software is and has always been weak. I have multiple instances of Brothers utilities and I'm never sure what or which one to use. I always get a new one when I get a new machine, but often time use the older on to accomplish my goal. All in all they make the best printers hands down. I have 4 and the basic laser is a work horse!!!!
I bought 2 of these printers, and both failed. The first one I purchased for our business worked really well for the first few months so I bought a 2nd one for home office use. They both stopped printing correctly right around the year mark. I tried contacting Brother directly but the online rep that helped me, told me there was nothing they could do to fix it. The ONLY option he would provide was to change a setting that caused the printer to only print 1 page every 2-3 minutes. (I'm not even kidding). That was a completely unacceptable option for a business use printer. For any printer for that matter. All I needed was a printer that would print documents properly, and with a normal speed. This one would print the pages wonky and misaligned, or so slow that it would hinder business operations. So unfortunately, I would have to say I would definitely not recommend this printer. And it was incredibly disappointing that Brother wouldn't offer any viable solutions to help either. Especially with one printer being less than a year old, and each printer was over $500.
