How exciting, after 35 years on my old machine, to have a beautiful brand new sewing machine. I was a little hesitant to learn something new! It sews so beautifully and I love the self threading feature. I don't like having to reset the stitch each time I turn the machine off and am struggling to find the correct 5/8” seam allowance. I'm sure I just need to experiment and read further.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received the sewing machine free from Brothers in exchange for my honest opinion/review. This item is easy to use. The instruction book was helpful. The machine is efficient and handy in making pretty, delicate, tight stitching.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this product for free from Brother in exchange for my honest review. I have not touched a sewing machine since my college sewing class but felt like getting back on a bike. This model is easy to learn and was perfect for some projects I've been wanting to create. Would definitely recommend!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am so excited to use this machine and see what awesome crafts I can create with it. It has a good variety of stitches that we make a beautiful hem. I set it up and threaded and it was very easy to thread the needle. It has a great option that let's you control the speed of the fabric threader. This will a machine that I can see me using for a lot of future projects.
While I did receive compensation for this review, all opinions are my own unbiased opinions. Great features in a small compact machine which is great for taking to quilting retreats. It is nice to have an additional back up machine when my primary machine is in for service. I like that I can pre-program functions to suit my style of sewing, like needle up or needle down when I stop stitching. This machine has an automatic needle threader, which for me is a must!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As a computerized sewing machine, there is no need to use the foot controller all the time. It depends on what you want to sew. There are three adjustable speeds with a speed controller. You can choose from 80 stitches including decorative stitches, satin stitches and cross-stitch stitches. However, there are no character stitches. The machine has a built-in thread cutter. A LCD displays the presser foot to use, the stitch number, the needle position setting (with one or two needles), the stitch length, and the stitch width. Seven foot pressers are included. The thread tension can be easily adjusted for different types of fabric. It is fairly light, so easy to transport or move around. I am not a professional seamstress, so I can only use the machine to sew basic things and this sewing machine is fantastic. With time, I will learn to do more things because there are so many options and functions. I wish there were character stiches so I can sew names.
I am very happy with my sewing machine. It has met my expectations and needs. I would recommend this machine to anyone. I have been sewing on another brand for about 40 years and was very happy with it. I had to replace it and went to a dealer who sold that machine and the Brother brand machine. I was not willing to pay the price of the other machine. The demonstrator introduced me to the Brother machine and I found it so easy to use and got more than I expected for the price.
I love my machine. I have had it for over a year, and it does a great job. I have had dificulties with bumping the stitch pattern selection dial and it changing stitches. I have bumped it with my arm and with top sitting my quilt. I wish it had a locking feature. Is there a way to have the needle end in an up position and not down?
So far I like it. Haven't used it every day. I am still getting used to it and learning
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this Brothers computerized sewing machine in exchange for an honest review. I have limited sewing skills but have plans on sitting down with the instructions and videos that will help me get started. I believe this machine will allow me to be successful since it has so many great features.
