Brother MFC-L2690DW Monochrome Laser All-in-One Printer, Duplex Printing, Wireless Connectivity

This is my second Brother printer. My color printer needed the absorber pad replaced which was above my pay grade and probably cost more than I paid for the printer originally. I got my bang for the buck, tho, and Brother has excellent Customer Service. I really didn't need to have color anymore, and the color cartridges are expensive. This 3 in One is exactly what I need for our home use. Great quality print. My grandson has told me he uses them at work and you get good mileage out of the toner cartridges, which are also inexpensive compared to the color cartridges, which by the way, don't give good mileage and the head cleaning process is a waste of ink and paper. I should also mention my old printer was purchased in 2012 and would still be working if I were to change the absorber pad. I've attached 4 photos. The toner cartridge loads easily into the slot above the paper drawer where you can see "Brother". Five stars to Brother for their excellent products.

I understand this printer is very good. My friends says is very efficient, multifunction: printer, copy, scan and fax. For my uses domestic and personal is perfect. The price is ok.

I love how easy this printer is. I am happy that I got it because I am having 2 emergency situations. I lost my kitten and I have had situations with work for Uber to provide documentation. This virus has limited me on the things I can do. So hopefully having this will help me find my lost little baby girl.

GREAT PRINTER! This by far the best printer I have ever owned. It is worth the money. I like the fact that I can print from my cellphone or print from my chromebook via wi-fi . It is very easy to set up. And it takes a toner cartridge which is better than the ink cartridges which don't last long.

The Bad: * Envelope printing - With 20lb weight envelopes, they come out creased and wrinkled unless you open the back side of the printer, pull down on some levers to disengage the return roller and then print. For those who print envelopes it would be a complete deal breaker if the spot you want to place it is right next to a wall and for everyone else extremely annoying and inconvenient. I'm going to try a 24lb weight envelope latter to see if it handles it better. The Meh: * From a computer, the time for it to start printing the first page on both wired and wireless took 15 seconds. (Timed it) * Included software... I ended up uninstalling it and using just the drivers as my old software was nicer to use. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't that great either. The Good: * Duplex * Print quality * Scanner - Really nice color and greyscale scans. * Fast copying - Press the copy button and a second or too later you have it.
