I bought a brother laser printer years ago for a business a ran. I can't say enough great things about these. I haven't used many of the functions on this one yet, but printing is so much nicer than ink jet. Let's be real... Hardly anyone actually prints their own photos. I need speed, efficiency, reliability, and cost effectiveness. Ink is cheaper and can be stretched if you know how to work a cartridge, and you can auto feed and scan, copy, fax, or print a bunch of pages quickly. I'll never go back to ink jet. This was easy to set up, also. Don't know if they changed set up since some other reviews, but this was a breeze.
This brother printer prints great, super fast, paper holder is oversized and sets up on WiFi in seconds! The firmware immediately updates and with the XL model, you get the extra toner at a large discount! Walmart is the easiest place to buy things, just order and was at my door in couple days.
Faster printing and scanning than my 3 year old brother laser printer. Intuitive and easy to use. Haven't had to look at manual. Has a nice improved digital display of functions on the printer. A plastic part on the old brother broke and I gave it away. The new printer is definitely a step up, and well worth the money.
A great printer if you don't mind forgoing color. I usually send my color prints to the local OfficeDepot so I don't have to pay for the cost and hassle of a color laser printer, or even worse, an inkjet. Yes, I'm a cheapskate, but the consumables are just too expensive for me!
I've been holding off replacing my colour laser printer for ages, but decided on this printer mainly due to it's combined printing and double-sided scan facility. It's exactly what I needed and wish I'd done it sooner.
I like the compactness and color. The copies print very clear. A little noisier than my last Brother copier but I am very pleased with this one. Also like that it would come with 2 toner cartridges! I would highly recommend this copier.
I bought this versatile printer / copier after using HP lasers and found it much easier to use and with much better connectivity to my computer and iPad. This has been the best printer I've bought i many years
This unit, which we've owned for perhaps five years, is an amazingly reliable machine. It is fully-duplexing, by which I mean that it reliably scans both sides of documents, via its feeder; and als, when instructed, prints on two sides (and multiple pages) of documents I send to it. Two problems: it regularly loses its WiFi feed, requiring me to reenter the WiFi password, and the tiny screen that is its control includes a keyboard so small as to be nearly unusable. I bought a similar Brother printer (without the duplexing functions) perhaps a decade ago for use in our cabin in central Maine that we used only in the summer. For all that time it “wintered over” in an unheated space, and despite being in environment where temperatures occasionally dipped below zero degrees (F), when I needed to use it it printed flawlessly every time. Amazing! I may never need to replace this printer, but if I do it will be with another Brother unit.
Good printer. Brother service leaves a little desired. No one will clarify how to print fix the one I have local vendor not sure if they can fix or not. Can find little information on self-service. Just overall not a great experience. And yes I know most of these are throw away but I try not to do that.
Have not used this all that much yet, but am enjoying it immensely. Great crisp prints and decent speed scanning utility. Struggled to find the custom resize percentage, but once found, this ticks all the boxes.
