Label maker works great. I'm happy with my purchase. It was easy to find and load the program needed to use the label maker with all the icons.

Works well on its own and the computer

The device does exactly what its description says it will do. If one has used only the old plastic, embossed label type of label maker in the past (as I had), then the controls on this device might seem a bit intimidating at first. Similarly, the software (available free on the Brother website) seems complicated at first, since it combines features of both graphic and word-processing software. However, the printed manual (for controlling the device manually) is clear and thorough, while the online/software help function for controlling the device from a computer is exceptionally user-friendly. This device is versatile and has many uses around the home and in a business office.

It was easy to get started making labels. My last label maker was extremely difficult to use. I like the variety of fonts and types of labels that I can make.

My last P-Touch lasted 20 years!! I had to upgrade because one of the keys finally stopped working. I love my new PT-D450. I've had it for a few months and am so happy with all of the new features especially computer connectivity. Great product, well made

Easy to use, labels are very durable and easy to read, especially with the adjustable font size and font options. Cartridges are long lasting and come in different widths.

Needs cutting options when connected to computer. I do not want the "cut line" where I have to cut the tab myself after printing. Otherwise, very happy with purchase. I just don't use it with the computer anymore, and therefore have limited access to the full functionality.

It does everything I need in a Label Maker. It seems I can't find anything else to make this review long enough.

If you try to print labels while not connected to the computer you need to be a genius. It is like learning Greek. The instructions were written by a professor in a foreign language. There has to be an easier way. I build and repair computers and software and I would recommend this to any of my customers for ease of use.

PT Editor 5.1 does not work with OSX. It crashes, and basic file label functions like sizing and positioning do not work reliably. Purchased this label maker to replace PT-2100 when I converted from Windows to OSX. No OSX drivers were available for PT-2100, so I 'upgraded'.
