This embroidery machine works very well. It is quiet and fast and smooth. This is my second small embroidery machine (the first one I used until it would not go any longer) I really like Brother products and the learning curve was easy and simple . I especially like the USB transfer option, top bobbin, needle threader and thread cutter. These features all add up to less frustrations and faster work time. The 4 x 4 frame size is perfect for the designs I use.
I'm a beginner at machine embroidery. Friend had the 500 and I did some work on hers. Love how easy this machine is to learn. However, downloading new designs is a problem for me. My computer is too far from my machine and the downloads seem expensive to me. Embro
This is the first time I have done any kind of embroidery. I got this to put embellishments on items I have sewn myself. So easy to get started using, what ever I have had questions with I have been able to find my answer or remedy online. Very pleased. Definitely not for large projects but is enough for what I want it to do.
I have used this machine several times and have never had any difficulty with it. It is very user friendly and I love the ability to import new images to embroider. Excellent machine for anyone who enjoys adding that personal touch to their work.
I am very happy with this machine. It does everything that I want it to do. I would definitely recommend it, and in fact, I bought one for my sister.
I am super pleased with my purchase of the PE525. I am not new to the Brother system, I have a SE350 and a PE770. Why did I want the PE525? Because my SE350 was used so much as a sewing machine, and making toys - I got tired of breaking between the sewing and embroidery capabilities. With the purchase of the PE525, I can leave both set up all the time - and a super plus with the PE525 is that I can plug it into my computer and transfer a pattern (or several) to it ready to sew about as quick as you can snap your finger. Love it. My PE770?, Oh yes I love it too - and it has its special place in my procedure, and I can snap a design into it on a USB thumb drive. Brother is doing fabulous things with the machines and capabilities, even for those of us who can't afford the Cadillac model yet, and just about all of these models are updateable as well through Brother downloads.
I use a 3d printer to make products and understand the technology of this item. I wanted to put my own logos on my own shirts rather than pay a service and buy a minimum. When I found how affordable the pe525 was, I had to try it. I'm a guy and have almost no knowledge of sewing and after a bit of discovery, I can do what I set out to do to an acceptable level. The machine seems to skip a stitch now and then and the LCD screen forces some hard to understand visuals but I didn't spend $5K either! Just like my printers put plastic where they're told, the pe525 puts stitches where the software says it should and that's exactly what I was looking for.
This is a beginners embroidery machine. I wish you could see larger initials on it. Had to take it to a dealer to get it to work. Bobbin mechanism was not on correctly and brother gave me no help on the phone.
I love it when I can use it but I'm still having trouble on learning how to use it and there's not very many videos on how to use it as well
Ithe machine was easy to thread but the embroidery patterns were hard to download and the machine skipped stitches. Also the thread would tangle easy causing my clothes to get holes where patterns was supposed to be. I wouldn't recommend to buy this machine but I do have a brother I see with and it works wonderful.
