[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am totally brand-new to embroidery - never even watched someone use such a machine - and I am on my third T-shirt now and as happy as I have not been in a long time in my adult life. This is so much fun! The machine works great right out of the box.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Brother PE800 is an excellent embroidery machine. It is very easy to use and it works great. The instructions are very helpful and easy to follow. I am new to embroidery and I have never used embroidery machine before but this was very easy to learn and to use. I love the quality and the modern design of this machine. It is very well made, sturdy and durable. The quality of the finished products is excellent. Overall I am very satisfied with this machine and I highly recommend it.
So I recently purchased a Brother PE800 and a Brother LX3817 Sewing Machine. First off, this is my first time using any machines of this type. The setup was easy on both machines, both came with tools and extras, a spool of bobbin thread, perfect clear touch screen, and the LED lights are so helpful. The embroidery machine - at first my thread kept tearing (100% trilobal polyester was the thread I was using at the time) , I couldn't level out the tension, too many loose strands, so as a "newbie" I was getting frustrated and was so confused on why it wasn't coming out as good as expected. My husband, suggested to buy new thread from a different brand... I embroided my son's name with it, and thread did not tear at all. Perfect tension, no issues whatsoever. After finding this out, I started to keep an eye on what kind of thread is good so I wouldn't mess up my machine, probably the first one I used was too thick for it. Thankfully now that I switched thread brand and texture, everything has been coming out beautifully. Both machines are so easy and simple. I highly recommend them.
This little machine is so full of extra's for the price. The editing is great. The color screen might be small, but it is very clear and easy to read. I had a PE700ll prior to this and I had over 40 million stitches on it. It is very easy to load designs onto a USB stick. I like that you can add named folders to the USB for ease of sorting. They did some changes on the threading path that I like a lot better.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This machine is perfect for anyone loves embroidery, I have it for my auntie as a gift because embroidery is her hobby for years. In the beginning, she did have trouble with tension but we fix it after the tips we learned from the youtube video. Now everything is set and perfect, so far without any problem. If this machine can combine with embroidery and regular sewing would be the best, but overall this is a wonderful product for anyone loves embroidery!
Easy to thread, easy to swap embroidery hoops. I had a functional-but-not Disney machine with cartridge threading, and this is LEAGUES ahead of that one! I can thread this on my own, by hand, I can change threads easily, I can do it all! Only thing, and it's not a downside in my case but it could be for others, is that my machine isn't fond of spinning bobbins. I have another Brother machine that can do bobbins well so this isn't exactly a problem for me but it could be for other people who don't have a way to spin bobbins as easily. 10/10 tho, love embroidering on this big gal and love seeing just how finished and neat everything is.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I absolutely love my Brother PE800 Embroidery Machine! This is the very first embroidery machine I have owned. It was so easy to learn how to operate with just the manual, I learned all on my own! The embroidery area is a good size, 5"X7". My favorite things about it are the large color touch screen and the amount of designs and fonts that come already on the machine. The first thing I made was customized onesies for my sisters new baby, they turned out great!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've always wanted an embroidery machine, but I felt that it would be too hard to learn how to use one. The PE800 by Brother makes me regret not getting into this craft sooner! Although it comes with PLENTY of bells and whistles, it's still easy for me to use as a beginner. The screen on the side of the machine even shows tutorials on how to operate the machine! How cool is that? The embroidery area is pretty big at 5"x7", which allows me to embroider all types of items with really detailed patterns. Speaking of patterns, the PE800 comes pre-loaded with 11 fonts and more than 100 designs. You can also find designs online and load them onto your machine via the USB port. You can use the machine's touch screen to preview and edit your designs before stitching. This embroidery machine is just so user-friendly. They even thought to equip it with an automatic needle threader. I can't wait to get more experience so I can see what else this machine can do!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The PE800 is all that. I am in love with the on-screen display. This makes the entire process easy. Up until this machine, I thought a sewing machine was just that- a sewing machine. Boy was I wrong. The stitching is awesome and extremely professional looking. A-1!
My auto-threader's plastic lever broke & the metal part cut deep into my palm. Then, the needle broke. The thread kept popping & i cant go back into the process - so I get a "bald patch". Im sure some of it is some user error, or thread issue etc. But I never got a chance to finish a design.
