So easy and fun to sew with

Connie March 10, 2017

It's amazing if you have ever pushed a lawn mower and then gotten a power propelled mower you know what I'm talking about. This sewing machine makes quick work of any project and is so easy to figure out! I'm so glad I purchased this model

Great Machine

Rose September 17, 2018

I love the self threader and all the stitch options. The machine is so light but does a great job. I look forward to doing more with this machine than I have before.

Excellent Sewing Machine for a Beginner

LadyElle3 December 22, 2017

I purchased another company sewing machine and notice how the sewing machine was shaking when I was using a medium speed and it was light to carry. I was at a retail store and saw Brother Project Runway which had a lot more features than the one I purchased; threader, computerized stitches, quilt and sewing stitches, more button holes, stationary mode for $10 less. I finished my bedroom curtains on the Brother sewing machine which did not shake a medium or high speeds and it has weight to it also. I am very happy that I found this sewing machine for my future projects and can now sew with no worries. My cousin has a Brother for many years and now we both can worry about the pattern directions instead of our sewing machines not being of great productivity.

Wife Loves It!

jawarrior October 21, 2016

I purchased this almost 2 years ago. Since then my wife has gone wild making quilts, even though the CS8800PRW machine certainly isn't designed for that specific purpose. Throughout the making of nine quilts it has been 100% trouble-free! It runs very quietly, which is a bonus when sewing for several hours. The LED light is on the weak side, so older eyes may need a separate lamp aimed at the needle to help. It is very light with a built-in hand-hold on the back side, and fits well into a Brother or universal carry case. The spool spindle accepts the larger Aurifil-type high-yardage thread spools, but not cones. Cones will need a separate stand. The automatic threader works very well. The machine does accept an optional walking foot for multiple fabric layer sewing (quilting) and has drop-feed. There are 80 different stitches to choose from including 8 automatic button-hole functions which are push-button selected using the LCD screen. Included are 7 quick-change feet and needles - even a double-needle, seam ripper tool and a foot pedal. I am getting my wife a super-duper Juki mid-arm quilting machine that only does straight stitching for this coming Xmas. However, I'm sure this Brother will continue to be her go-to machine for fancy stitching and many non-quilting projects.

Easy to use

Suga2 February 26, 2018

Good machine for beginners and for the ones that haven’t sewn in a while

Loved the ease of getting to know the new machine.

Jim July 16, 2017

The sewing machine was easy to understand the new features. I like the ease of changing stitches and length, width, etc.. Winding a bobbin is a breeze. The one thing I don't like is that the sleeve arm is too wide to use for smaller children's dresses. I haven't tried any of the fancier stitches or button holes yet, but don't anticipate any issues. I wish so much of the machine wasn't plastic - it might be an issue for breakage. Have really enjoyed the machine so far.

Purchased this Brother machine but runfortunately haven't unboxed it to date. Have been reading the instructions for use! I am sure it will be all it is stated to be tho, l have no fear of that.

Great starter

Ana October 12, 2017

Bought this back when I first started sewing. It was easy to use and if had it not been dropped, could've lasted for years. Love that it has so many stitches and troubleshooting was easy due to lots of informational videos. A tad loud if sewing at night.

Not worth the time or $$

JENNILEE July 3, 2020

Sewing machine only lasted a short bit. Cost more to get it fixed vs the actual cost of a new machine.
