Brother RLX3817 Full Size 17 Stitch Mechanical Sewing Machine Portable White Plastic Beginner

I did a lot of research and shopping before I bought this machine, and I have not been disappointed. Even the written instructions are very intuitive and easy to understand. I didn't need to spend hours on YouTube learning how to use this machine. it works perfectly and I have been using it on just about everything in the house haha I love it so much

It came quick, as described. I spent some time picking which product I thought would work best for me. I needed one that would hem jeans, a thicker material at least doubled over. I have some experience with sewing machines, and sewing in general, when i was little I would watch Mom, a seamstress, sew and using the machine. This machine does exactly what it advertised. I've already hemmed several pairs of jeans, I even pushed it a little further then needed and it worked great. I'm not into a lot of the things the Brother sewing machine can do, but the future is yet to come.

I am a beginner sewer. The tailor wanted outrageous prices to shorten p j bottoms. I had 3 pairs that needed shortening and it was cheaper to get a sewing machine and do it myself. The instruction booklet that came with the sewing machine was easy to understand, and never having sewn before, I was able to shorten all my PJs with ease. The machine worked really well! So many booklets that come with purchases are so complicated they are useless, but this booklet was easy to follow for beginners.

I didn't have any experience with sewing machines at all. I chose this one because it was the cheapest one that had great reviews. I couldn't follow the manual quite well, so I watched a YouTube video. The setup was not too complicated but it took me some time to get used to the pre and post stitching steps. I've tried maybe 4-5 of all the available patterns and they came out really good. It also does not produce a lot of vibrations/ noise, so yay!

This sewing machine is a great machine,I’m 65 yrs old and it’s lightweight so easy to move. I have started sewing repairs on my dogs jackets and will be making my own nite gowns..Very easy to use it’s perfect for making some craft projects also!! Very Pleased !! 😊Thank You So Much!!

It has been years since I have used dish design machine because I’ve been really involved with my career now that I’m retired. I wanted to try to sew again and I can tell you it’s been a real relief to know how easy and fun it was. And is with this sewing machine thank you so much.

The price was very affordable, especially for beginners. Loved the color options and the beautiful unique decorative designs on the machines! My 10 year old granddaughter was able to learn sewing basics quickly. Personally, I had not sewn in over 40 years. I was used to heavy metal machines and a pain to move. This machine was light-weight and portable to use in any room or table. The simplicity of the equipment and its functions made it comfortable to use. It was easy to thread and fill the bobbin. The instruction manual was understandable and very clear. I would highly recommend it to others.

Great value. Replaced an entry level unit from another manufacturer that developed a timing issue. The project was for the grand kids thus needed to be completed. Picked the least expensive unit from Brother which did not disappoint. handled the heavy multi layers of fabric. Speed control was an improvement. easy set up. adequate number of stitches. Pleasantly surprised. Considering purchasing additional units for students in my classes.

This is the best sewing machine that I ever used. I used a basic high-end back in the day and it's similar. It has multiple zigzag stitches that are so useful. No setup and all you do is plug it in and the bobbin is already threaded, comes with a little bag of accessories. I got the blue that is beautiful with flowers on it and you can't go wrong the price was under $100. I highly recommend. You can actually sew anything with it. I've tried denim works fine all kinds of material I was working with and I just love it. Very sturdy and the construction of it is very well made.

Used for the 1st time today. Directions seem fairly easy. I am not new to sewing so have the basic understanding of a machine, but it's been awhile. I thought the Diagrams could be larger, however had no problems. Good machine for basic sewing and my use as I need to alter and take in hips and leg of all slacks %26 shorts. Down side is bobbins from previous machines will not work in this sewing machine, the bobbins are shorter and smaller.
