Brother SE1900 Embroidery Sewing Machine with Grand Slam Package

Stool getting acquainted with machine since i'm new at sewing and embroidery. I do love it and it seems easy to maneuver. The package came with sooo many accessories that I cannot wait until I can fully get to take advantage of

This is my first computerized machine and my first machine which not only sews, but also does embroidery. It is fairly easy to use. I do read the manual which is very helpful, before trying anything new. Much of the sewing part is rather intuitive since I have 50+ years of sewing experience. I do recommend this machine to anyone who is a beginner with machine embroidery and/or their first computerized machine. There are many beautiful preprogrammed embroidery designs. I did purchase the threads which coordinate with this machine designs. Very easy it shows step by step the color and color number to use next. I am very happy with my new sewing and embroidery machine.

When my machine arrived. I was so overwhelmed by all the new features I updated to. So many great features that many of the big machines have. I do wish it came with a 4x4 hoop because I do embroidery machine hats. However; since I previously owned the PE700 I can use those hoops on it also. I've only had it for about 3 months and it has not disappointed me one bit. I am having trouble getting use to the presser feet. I'm not sure if this seemly shift when pressing the presser foot is about. I have to lock the screen because I seem to always touch it when I am reaching around it for something. I usually don't release I've done it until I look at the screen. For me this lock feature is not just for changing needles :) I also admire how the embroidery arm comes in it's separate box within the box. I plan to decorate mines to look more sewing appropriate. I've made several garments already on it. It sews FLAWLESS!!! The feed dogs are a BEAST!!! No more pulling or struggling as I did on my previous machine. Another great feature I didn't know I had was that I was able to edit designs and combine them. I was able to create a similar design that I saw one of top of the line sewing machine. This to me spoke VOLUME!!! Brother is so simple to use!!!

This machine is absolutely a dream. I had the SE425 before and it was a workhorse too. I upgraded for the bigger hoop and overall bigger throat size for quilting. And to get my mother into sewing and quilting I gave her the old one! The stitching is amazing and I absolutely love how smooth and flawless it is. I am confident this machine will last for quite a while and will become my travel machine when I one day (a gal can dream) get my Luminaire.

This is my first embroidery machine. It is a dream! So easy to use and the work I've done so far is beautiful! I absolutely love the stitch options that are built in for sewing as well. I am extremely happy with my purchase and will invest in Brother again in the future!

I have fell in love with the SE1900 combo! I purchased it to use when I'm staying with my daughter from time to time. I have the Stellaire XE1 at home and love it just as well. But this machine I had so much fun with the last couple of months.

Love this machine and it is so easy to use. My 10 year old granddaughter has been learning to use use. She wants to be on it every time she comes over.....

I had the SE400 and decided to go up and read the reviews and thought I would go with this one. Can't say enough good about it. Love all the features, it has so many beautiful stitches and very easy to learn. Couldn't be happier

I love having a sewing machine that sews and embroiders. I love the project of the month on the ibroidery website. The 5x7 embroidery area is a nice size. I did buy extra hoops so I can do a 4x4 or a small oval. Use the small gray spool holder so that your embroidery thread doesn't get tangled. I had the regular size spool holder on. My thread got tangled, created tension and broke a needle. User error on my part. I turned the machine off, went to bed frustrated, installed a new needle the next morning. I turned the machine back on and got a message asking if I wanted to resume where I left off! My project was still undisturbed in the hoop so I put it back it the machine and it stitched out beautifully!

I wanted an embroidery machine that I could actually lift and take to class with me. This fits that bill. My concern is that I have not found a way for it to cut jump stitches. Am I missing something?3
